It's already a really good class but if we can get the DT Nolan and a couple of OT'S this will be a sick class.

I was worried back in 2018, but O really has locked LA down since then. We lose a couple of guys per year to Bama and one or two others, but he’s been landing the top guys and filling needs. It’s exactly what we needed him to do.

Huge commitment!! Everyone thought this one was gonna be a long drawn out kinda thing and it still might be lot of time until signing day but man you just have to be pumped about this! It’s almost like the top Louisiana players are sending a message to the rest of the 2022 and 2023 LA class by committing early to help keep the fence up and we all know how loaded the state is these next 2 classes

Jacoby spells “Mathews” with one T. Just FYI for future post.

Not that it matters but I don’t see how we are still ranked the third class after the commitment. It’s also crazy to see 9 sec teams in the top 25 overall recruiting rankings.

It really depends who you ask. Everyone projects him differently. I saw an article calling him the next Jamal Adam’s though so take that for what you want
I think of Matthews like Thomas Davis from Georgia. Davis played safety and rush linebacker at Georgia.
One of the knocks on Davis coming out of college was that he was a “tweener” and would not be a great linebacker or safety in the pros.
Of course as it turns out, Davis became one of the best linebackers in Carolina Panther history.
Who knows what position Matthews ends up playing, the debate with Davis stayed with him through college. Matthews, like Davis, is just a great football player. When he steps in and out of the box on gamedays it probably makes little difference what you call his position. He will drop in coverage some plays, stop the run in the box some plays, and rush the passer in other plays.
He could literally play every position on the field on a typical 2a high school team and probably make all district as an offensive tackle. Seriously.

LSU now has 4 players in the top 5 of their positions. Three of those are the top 3 of their position.

Idk why you replying to me with that quote bc I never mentioned his name specifically

His highlights show a patience when moving through traffic. It doesn’t matter whether he has the ball or is seeking the ball carrier, he weaves through the traffic then explodes! His acceleration is great, but his football savvy is the most impressive.

fOrEvErLsU1987, when I'm on mobile, I don't scroll all the way back up to find the post of the OP, so I just clicked on the last one at the time. It wasn't meant for you
