We already have 2 better than Antoine committed. Adding a 3rd would be icing on the cake.

Antoine is a bit overrated. Would love to have him but you notice a trend as to how most of the more overrated prospects tend to have a higher rate of leaving the state. Meaning LSU is not willing to spend a boat load on a player that’s gonna take 2 years to develop to even be able to play.

It's crazy the amount of LSU or Louisiana ties these schools recruiting DB's have huh:

Ole Pete Golding hasn't been heard of too much since leaving Bama. That's a shame...

Yup, the overrating seems to occur simultaneously with the commitment elsewhere.

Same dynamic as the folks who seem to value the ones who go elsewhere more than the ones we get. Funny isn’t it

Come on man, finish off the trifecta. If we get Anding i believe we legit have 3 of the 15 best corners in the country. I think he's way underrated. This is why i keep preaching about 2026 being the national championship run.
That kool-aid must be spiked with something really strong. The 37th best CB (On3's words, not mine) is not one of the 15 best CBs in the nation.
He would be a good depth signing, however.

I'm willing to guarantee he will fly up the boards after this season. Dude only played last year for the first time so all the recruiting sites are very late on him. I wouldn't put much stock in his ranking, as you can see from his offer list and interest, teams aren't.

and Quinyon Mitchell was ranked as the 1460th best player in his class and the 56th best "Athlete." Dude was the first CB taken in the 2024 NFL draft. Mekhi Wingo wasn't rated highly either. Dude turned out to be a bad@arse on the DL.
Recruiting services' rankings are not the be all end all when it comes to recruiting football players.

I’d go the opposite of the experts predictions. I think it’s 70/30 Texas. LSU came in too late. Texas did a better job on Anding. I hope I’m wrong and the home state pull works.

Well you are wrong doing the opposite of the experts

I’d like to see us recruit more from the northern area and the south central or southwest areas.
In the past 5yrs, who have we not taken who turned out to be a mistake? The only one I can think of that you could say is Keon Coleman - but in that same class we took 2 guys (nabers+btj) who were better than him at his position and a 3rd (Hilton) who hasn’t been yet but was unanimously considered the better prospect coming out of HS and still might conceivably wind up jumping him anyway. We had a stretch of something like 5 cycles where our final (both time-wise and in terms of preference in prospect) in-state take turned into an NFL draft pick 4 times out of 5. I can’t remember all of them but I wanna say it was like duke riley, foster Moreau, lloyd cushenberry, and Justin jefferson.

Donte jackson?
That's actually not a bad comp. They do move in a similar way and have the same build.
Donte Jackson is 28. Seems like he has been in the league forever.
