LSU commit Tanner Reaves with eighteen base hits during the series, including a double and two run dinger in the championship game.

Hell yeah! I'm pumped!

Do we expect him to make it to campus?

Anything can happen, but right now it sounds like he will.

Middle infield. Similar to a previous transfer from Blinn named Brandon Larson.

He is the real deal at the plate. I have a buddy who’s son plays on that team, I’ve watched several games and many last week.

Anyone know why he was moved to RF last week?

Interested to hear this also but he’s actually been in RF since March.

Someone mentioned a back issue at one point, but I don't know how RF would be better for that than 2B.

He's almost never played SS and certainly never at a level that would lead one to believe he could do it at LSU.

He's a bat first guy, plain and simple.

Interesting to note, Reeves, Schmidt, and Priester are all redshirts. I think this is a strategy Jay is using to get age into the program without necessarily going the one year portal rentals over and over again.

Think he could really help his stock one year at lsu and producing.

That is an interesting thought. Even though they are currently draft eligible guys, you are adding 3rd yr guys that could’ve left JC last year. Obviously you’re not adding a SEC or another D1 proven transfer but these guys look like ball players. Hell, Reaves turned down coming this fall to return to Blinn.

What did LSU Eunice win?

Edit: just looked, I guess it was D2. I didn’t even know they had divisions in JUCO

I would love for us to go after Owen Schexnaydre a pitcher for LSUE. I think he was 15-0 this year. 72 innings pitched with 88 Ks. .196 batting average

He's already signed with Louisiana Tech.

Reaves could have come here last year and opted to stay at Blinn. Doubt he ever comes to Baton Rouge,,

He also said that was to find a position and not transfer just to sit the bench. Probably why you saw him play some outfield this year.
