Don’t worry we’ll fork out the money for some SG in women’s basketball.
The majority of NIL in all of the women’s sports comes from sponsorships and branding deals, not from the collective.

Done deal until we drop a large bag

That's okay LSU doesn't have to keep their other son.

This early in the cycle, it’s more on Baker, Olsen, possibly Wilson, and Donovan Tate for letting an LA kid not feel like a priority. Kelly (and any other head coach) can only officially meet with kids so many times and in certain situations, so it’s their job to manage the day to day interactions, practice visits, etc.

Anyone stating any recruitment is a "done deal" in March clearly doesnt follow recruiting much, dont care if its his dad or not
Look what happened with Underwood. That camp said all the right things until the $$$ spoke too loud

Wait until he has experience with Ohio People and the terrible. Food

Huge miss. I don’t blame the kid for seeing how awful the DB room has been in comparison to the treasure trove at Ohio State. This kid is the real deal.
Just like DK Moore and other big time commits last year before the season started. They all want to be here, but we have constantly fielded a poor product to convince them a change will happen. None of these kids want to be “the change.” It needs to be established and trendy.
One small hope here is if DJ Pickett and company can turn the corner and prove that DBU is trending back.
Otherwise it is too easy to step in and be crowned the next Caleb Downs by just showing up.

I refuse to get butthurt ever again over a 17yr old talking about his future. These dudes don’t even know when their next English test is at or even care. Their future - give me a break, $$$$$ is the only future that makes any kind of sense to these young recruits today. Mama ain’t going to fly up to see #2 son when #1 son is at the house eating supper Friday before his LSU game. They have the leverage and someone tells them to use it. Or maybe I’m still suffering from PostUnderwood syndrome but I refuse to let this bother me until the 3rd Wednesday of December then I’ll deal with it.

I imagine this is how fans felt when dj Pickett left florida to play in louisiana. We take other states top players. This is how it feels when the shoe is on the other foot.

Moving across the country sounds exciting until it’s time to do it. If he starts canceling visits and ONLY visits Columbus, then done deal carries weight. It’s way early.
Watch what he does. Don’t listen to what he says.

Have Burrow give him a call and talk about his experiences.

a bunch of unknowns
Igbinosun will be starting his 3rd season at OSU and 4th overall (think he started as a frosh at Ole Miss and has been at OSU 2 years)
Mathews Jr. is going to be the other starting corner and styles is likely the starter at slot.
West/Scott were top 100 corners and will be sophomores next year so young corners not safeties
Safetywise, when Downs leaves there will be spots open. Hartford and McClain are good players and could step in, but the depth isn't massive at OSU for like the 2026 season on right now

And I can name all of LSU players too...The point is nobody knows them and their DB room is no different than ours.
