If I could give 2 upvotes I would, don’t understand the logic behind that either

One might get moved to DE. Who knows? get good football players, then as long as you don't under-recruit a position, we'll be good.

ohio state has the #1 RB in the country and another 4 star RB. that’s why they didn’t go after Kiner. if they didn’t get Henderson i’m sure they would’ve gone after him.

So are Foreman and Smith not a package deal anymore?
Posted on 8/21/20 at 3:02 pm to gmil3548
I dunno but never believe in package deals. Never.

Any other O-Linemen really interested in LSU besides Leigh and Pounds? Obviously, the coaches are recruiting others but haven’t noticed any other names on here.

We don't need another DE in the class either, particularly one that is a project at the position. We've got 4, maybe 5 already. That last DE spot is reserved for Foreman first and foremost, maybe Langston(possible DT) or Shemar Turner depending how things shake out.
OSU has that "elite" back in Henderson and just so happen to have the top all purpose back in Evan Pryor. They didn't wait for Kiner nor need him.
I believe Smith and Foreman have every intention of being a package but many don't buy into it. Sonny and Billy are in that group. Shea's in the package deal group as of now. UGA has begun their move with both. We need to get more proactive and figure a way to get these kids on campus regardless of official. If Foreman can trip to UGA there's no reason he can't trip here.

Scike said last week that he was even more confident in Foreman and put it at 65%
Looks like a nice Rivals-247 showdown here to see who's right

I have to disagree with taking another RB unless it's a stud. 5 RB's is a bit much, especially when 22 has a couple of studs in state and the #1 RB in the country is very interested.
I agree that two RB seems extreme.
The DB are short on numbers and not evenly distributed in classes. LSU could be caught with only 2 safeties returning next year. And their were 4 CB in the 2018 class. Since a lot of LSU DB leave early, the target should be 5 or 6 each year. Stingley, Hampton, and Flott could all leave early. I would bet on at least 2.
The OL is not severely short on numbers (14), but a lot of people discount their quality since they were not 5* ranked recruits.
I don't think we are that short on LB (due to nickel/dime), unless you are talking hybrid S/LB prospects. Everyone is in the spread now. More hybrid players are needed as a counter to the spread.

Yeah osu has infallible talent evaluators. I'm happy LSU took a guy they rejected d name of Burrow. That seemed to work out ok.

I dont see us taking 2 RBs this class. No need for it with what we have and what is coming.

I mentioned on here prior to Embody’s prediction piece that Shead would likely be a take if he chooses LSU. Basic roster management. LSU could use a TE that is a strong blocker. Neither Gilbert or Taylor are known for that. You lost Pettigrew already and will be losing T. Carter after this year. That only leaves Moffitt and Storz on the roster next year along with Gilbert and Taylor.
LSU may well take both Trigg and Shead if they both want on board and the #’s allow it. That would be either 5 or 6 TE’s on the roster.
I also don’t see LSU taking more than 3 true Olmen this year. I think 15-16 on a roster is a good number as long as there isn’t much dead weight there.

Les Miles isn’t calling plays for the offense anymore.

Couldn’t disagree with this more. Ingram and Deculus are both 4th year guys, Shanahan is gone after this season and maybe Rosenthal. IMO you have to sign 4-5 OL every year because of injuries and transfers. I’d love to see LSU sign 3 OTs and 1 interior OL this class. Preferably a true center

In terms of actual players we are right there with them. We have several OL (Evans, Hines, Rosenthal) that wont show in those numbers since they came in as DL but that's 2 starters and the heir apparent at center next year.
That’s a great assessment if you add those 3 to the 9 that were listed as OL that’s 12 bodies on the Oline which is on par with the rest of the SEC big dogs

Are we actually pursuing Hargrove? Thank God we've learned our lesson.
