I'm blanking out on which Lewis everyone's referring to also.

Edit: It immediately hit me after I hit submit.

Danny Lewis TE.

Can't ever have a positive comment on her without someone shitting on an ex coach or player.

That's 100% false and what would you call the state of the roster by the time O left?

Not trying to shite on Orgeon, but he left LSU with no QB1, WR1, and RB1. CBK had to recruit Brennan to come back, recruit Boutte to come back and Noah Cain in the transfer portal and might pull in Citizen with the great staff that he assembled.

Not trying to defend Orgeron, but who recruited the best young QB in the NFL and the two best young receivers.
When Orgeron was fired were any of those players in the transfer portal?
Remember, he was fired after the KY game.

Justin Jefferson was coming to LSU no matter what, both his brothers came here. I give Coach O credit for Burrow and Chase. I think he caught lightning in a bottle. When he had to reset and start over without Burrow/Brady, Aranda (huge loss) he failed miserably. If you are a good/great coach there is no way you go from 15-0 to back to back .500 seasons without sanctions...

Regarding Jefferson, O still had to make the decision to wait out his academic status. It was far from a given he'd play anywhere in college. O deserves credit for taking the chance. He promised him a spot long before it was even thought possible he'd qualify.

That said, what O left in his wake is almost enough to offset the greatness of 19 and that was never seen as a possibility until we really saw just how bad it was. That takes some real skill to use up all that equity so fast. Les Miles is in better standing at this point within the program. That's unreal.
