No chance with Andre Anthony right?
Isn’t Anthony out of eligibility? I thought he was using his covid year this past season

According to an earlier post, he didn’t petition for an injury redshirt earlier in his career here. He just lost a potential season to injury after already having a redshirt year. Since the COVID year doesn’t count, this would allow him to petition for one additional season with an injury redshirt, if he wanted to pursue it.
As for why Anthony might have interest, his injury will likely keep him from being able to participate in the combine and get into the draft. As an UFA, he would have to cover a lot of expenses related to rehabbing and an agent likely won’t front him money since his NFL status isn’t assured.
On the other hand, if he returned for next season, he would have our medical and S&C staff helping him to rehab and would have one last opportunity to show out and possibly improve his draft status for next year.
I wouldn’t blame Anthony one bit if he decides to move on, but there is a legitimate reason for him to give it one more shot. Either way, I wish him all the best.

Both would be drafted. Gaye is the type that could go in the 3rd round based on small sample size and measurables

Gaye is a perfect example of a guy we’ve had over the years that leaves early and gets drafted in the later rounds, then has to scratch and claw to even make a roster. He could come back, prove he can stay healthy, and elevate his value to make more money and give himself a better shot of sticking in the league.

The fact that Anthony is older, injured and likely won’t be able to participate in the combine to stand out all work against him. I think he would likely be an UFA this year because of those factors.

Gaye has potential at a higher draft status. I think this is a smart move. I could see him being a 2nd or 3rd rounder when it's all said and done.

Gaye has 4 sacks in two years. That’s very little production from someone who people are saying is a first round talent.

Unlimited athleticism.
Hopefully this coaching staff will hold him accountable when doesn’t maintain the edge containment.
Depth pushing him for PT will help as well.
Glad to have back

That’s not why I said “Jesus”

Did he have shoulder surgery since he has been out?
He always played with that strap on his bicep.
