Feel like Arkansas never even recruits LA either which is weird - who was the last Louisiana kid Arkansas had on their roster?
My nephew was very close to signing with Arkansas in 2018. At the last minute, Tulane made a "strong arse offer"

You’re telling me you’d rather have the LHP guys we have now over him? No chance
My point was that most people don’t like Pawl and he’s arrogant. That was a kid at a position of need in your backyard and you pissed him off enough to go somewhere else

Again, if he didn't like being told that being recruited by LSU is an honor, that's a him problem.
As far as preferring him over the LHP we actually got in that class, Coleman has a higher ceiling and Brady is a walk-on JUCO transfer. So unless he was willing to pay his entire way here to replace Brady, I'm fine.
If he's so dumb that he gets offended by being told he's fortunate to be recruited by LSU, he will fit in just fine getting 3/4 of a grass cutting degree at State.

TJ Forrest was an LSU pitcher from Haughton who went to Ark by way of juco

i personally could give a frick were he recruited the players from if we were kicking arse. But when you arent and you are watching player after player leave...its disheartening and it hurts.
No school in Mississippi can offer more than LSU when you factor in TOPS. No school in Texas can.
Thats why people are getting pissed off about it. Getting our arse kicked by State sure doesnt help and then to turn around and watch one of their prized recruits throw a complete game with 14ks against one of the best programs in the nation.....yea its fricking disheartening.

Again. You’re missing my point. That’s not a him problem. Would you want to go to a school that didn’t want you on a visit?
Even if he did say that, that’s not something you tell a 18 yr old kid. You recruit the kid to go there. Not the other way around

exactly. if this was the 90s and were knocking out NCs left and right, thats one thing. But make no mistake....this generation sees Vandy as a much better baseball school than LSU, much better.

No, I'm not missing your point. The kid got his feelings hurt because his arse wasn't kissed. The bottom line is that any kid being recruited to LSU is lucky and being told that isn't offensive, it's the truth. If the kid was too dumb to understand that, maybe his parents should have explained it to him, if his parents are too dumb to understand it then none of them need to be around the program anyway.

Why not?
ETA: If the idea is not recruit a bunch of mentally weak pussies, a good way to weed them out is to tell them the truth at the very beginning and the ones that get offended can exclude themselves by committing to ULL and then Mississippi State.

because our program sucks donkey dick right now and hasnt been very good for a couple of years, thats why not.
#2 is because Pauls job is to recruit

mentally weak pussies,
are we talking about Paul, because that is pretty much him. He gets sand in his pussy everytime he is questioned. He needs to stfu and do his job.

That must be why we brought in a better recruiting class than your favorite team, Vanderbilt, despite having to abide by scholarship limits they don't.
I get it, you don't like Mainieri, but it doesn't mean he's wrong in every interaction he has. Some of you morons take your unrealistic expectations and hatred beyond the logical conclusions.

Lol. Two words. Paul Maineri
Who the frick wants to play for him
Who the frick wants to play for him

ummmm i can promise vandy isnt my favorite team, but they have won 2 NCs and consistently been better than us the last decade. They have more CWS appearences also.
This is what i do know....right now and since losing in the CWS final, our program has been on a slide.
I do not care about the reasons, I care about results. I also know PM gets paid a ton to recruit the best players. I also know that we are watching alot of the best players from our state go elsewhere.

No i have always liked PM as a coach, but i beleive his time has passed him by. i dont care that he told a kid he was lucky to be recruited, just like i dont care if he kisses a kids arse. I care about results, period. He gets paid a shite ton to produce results.

What unrealistic expectations?
you mean the unrealistic expectations that in the last decade we dont do the following in the CWS?
2013- 0-2
2015- 1-2
2017- 4-3
Am I asking to much to have a winning record in the CWS in a decade?
unrealistic to ask for a conference chamionship more than 3 times a decade?
unrealistic to ask our coach to get back to his previous levels of 08,09,10?
At this point PM is les miles and nothing more.

Probably because they want to play for a good team.

Not really a PM fan. Not against him either. I live in BTR and really like it, but, Nashville is a much better location than BTR and a Vandy education is much better thAn a degree from LSU.
For example, Al Leiter son... would not even consider LSU and BTR
We are number 5 on the gun crime/violent crime per capita list.
UGA and Athens is a much better location than BTR.
Yes, PM should be recruiting and better hurry up.
We are a small state with economic, environmental, and crime issues. We have to do everything better... just reality.

that has nothing to do with losing in state recruits that you can offer a scholly too plus tops.
if you think 99% recruits are looking up crime stats well you are crazy has nothing to do with anything.
