and we finally have mobile QBs

we ran a good bit of it in 2007 along with a lot of spread

in the peach bowl we ran at least 50% spread option

ford is not a bruiser

seastrunk is the opposite of a bruiser

we have 2 power backs (scott and ridley, with ridley coming off a serious injury)

we have 3 slasher backs (keiland, murphy, and ford)

i'm waitin to see what happens with calhoun, but he's a pure speed guy. trindon is a gimmick speed guy

we don't have him ...we need him, but don't have him. Instead, we have offered the big kid from Hahnville to go along with big Storm Johnson and Brandon Worle. Pratt was a big back we had last year until the shite went down

I know I'm missing someone else... oh, the big kid from South Panola MS

as for Calhoun, I don't see him running the ball for us

exactly

it's funny now that everyone is coming on the Rant acting like he has a speed game... he is not that fast in terms of SEC tailbacks

his strength is clearly his balance and power running

From what I hear, the quality that gives Shepard the nod is the intangible factors such has leadership and character.

This imo is what makes someone like Tebow special not just their physical skills and such. I think Shep is going to be one of those players that not only performs well but also makes everyone else around him perform better more consistently.

That (if it is true...) will be what separates Shep from everyone else!

Could have a similar career to that of Lorenzo Booker (referring to Seastrunk). If in fact he has a Booker-like career in a Tiger uniform would you consider this a disappointment? Remember, Booker was the ESPN top national recruit his senior year.

Shepard by a mile, not because of physical ability, but because of attitude and leadership. Shep is solid, quick to give credit to others. He is confident but not arrogant. When he committed to LSU, he never wavered.

Seastrunk reminds me of another primadona, RP. He is arrogant and plays games with the media and the recruiting process. He is likely to be a "bad apple" on the team, which could destroy the LSU "family" which Les Miles has developed.

Having a great attitude and a team spirit is a great separator between athletes of similar physical talent.

Don't get me wrong. I want Seastrunk to come to LSU. If there is more substance there than meets the eye, then let's find out. If he is going to be a problem, then we can throw the "bad apple" out of the barrel as with RP.

If Seastrunk is a bad apple, so is Loston going by your logic. Both have done flakey things during their recruitment, but that doesn't make them on the level of Perrilloux or that they'd be a detriment to LSU.
