Brandon Jacobs Wiki
quote:

Jacobs attended Assumption High School in Napoleonville, Louisiana, where he rambled for a state-best 3,032 yards in 2000. He earned Class 4A Offensive MVP honors while averaging 215 yards per game and totaling 35 touchdowns

Maybe not the best but needs to be mentioned in LA at least.

Impressive list. Even though this is a RB question. I so remember Craig Heward ( sp ) as a RB for Pitt. Was he also from PA?

Jacobs is a good pick, he was just so much bigger than everyone else it wasn't

he was always clearly the biggest player on either team

Best I remember see play was Travis minor. Honestly.

That dude was sick in high school.

I saw him in the 9th. grade, touched the ball 5 times and scored 4 TD's.

Use to sit with his Dad at the games.....RIP.

The Diesel and his 3,045 yards/40 TDs his senior year probably puts him up there.

So much wasted talent.

I saw Jacobs play a few times and actually lost a bet to a friend of mine.

He was my friends dad actually, and he bragged and bragged on Brandon so I went with him to see him play.

I said there was no way that big mofo played runningback in college, and bet him he would end up at TE.

I lost

Cecil was just sick in highschool, i remember it being an NFL athlete playing against pop warner kids... But, I also remember watching Faulk and that dude was ridiculous. Now these aren't the best 2 ever, but when Josh Reed was a senior, he and Anthony Thomas went head to head at runnigback in the playoffs and they were off the charts. Best two in the same game I've ever witnessed.

eehhhh.... I played against Dartez, as a matter of fact we graduated the same year and played against him from city league sports throughout highschool. Nice guy. He was good, but he wansn't even as good as Reed. Hell Ike Hillard was better during the same time.

yup. smart, nice guy and a great athlete. He excelled in football, baseball and basketball. He also ran track, but to be honest there is nothing else to do in Cecilia.
I don't remember his name, but they had another guy there at the time, who could flat out fly.
Dartez, was quick but was a 4.65-4.7 guy if i recall and not real big.
