Oklahoma’s Bauer Sharp throws INT to LSU’s Sage Ryan.
Portal player swap?
Bizarro world.

We still come out on top of that deal even if he throws two or three ints next year. Lol

Just going back last few years A: On3s industry ranking looks pretty damn accurate ranking portal players last year. B: 2023 looked to be a pretty down year in the portal in general terms of impact full players. So, us missing on a few that year, not surprising. C: Very few transfer TEs have worked out or had a significant impact last few years if any that I can tell. Just keeping expectations reasonable with this one. He's ranked in the 100s and 5th best Te available. Who knows, he was in a horrible situation and hopefully a diamond in the rough.

How does he grade as a blocker?

The post said he caught 42 passes and 2 TDs last year. That's not bad, especially if we're thinking of him as a blocking TE.

They used him a bunch last year.

According to OU twitter, this guy CANNOT block. And they’re pretty adamant about it.
Usually you’d take fan opinions on players’ abilities with a grain of salt. However, blocking is pretty black and white. Either you can or can’t block, and it’s not hard to tell the difference.

I saw some commenters on reddit saying they thought he was bad, but likely sour grapes. I just went and watched highlights from the Bama game and he had some nice blocks highlighted.

Let’s be honest here- even with his improvement over three years, was Taylor ever better than average as a blocker?
This kid is a proven receiving TE. If Pimpton stays in the portal, we will need another one, anyway. And that’s assuming Green moves back to TE or plays both WR and TE next season.
