What are y'all missing. The thread is regarding a 6'4" SG that was suppose to join the team as a walk-on. He is not on the roster now.
The question is what happened to him? Is he expected to be on this years team? Or did LSU go another way?

I get it. Why not just start a thread and ask about the kid? It's confusing to just randomly bump a thread from last May.

Man, I'm sitting on pins and needles to see who fills out this roster and I see a thread about a preferred walkon. You're playing with my emotions. Lol.

I always wondered this too. He seemed to be all in on LSU when it first happened. And I'm pretty sure he even started classes on campus in the fall. Then next thing you knew he wasn't being mentioned at all, wasn't in any social media posts of the team or pictures/videos, and then was nowhere to be found on the roster. Was very odd.
Purely speculation, but maybe he just got homesick and decided it wasn't worth it. Or just couldn't hack it in Wade's system.
ETA: According to his IG acct., he is now at Trinity Valley Community College.

A lot of guys don’t understand what it’s actually like to be a walk-on. You get none of the benefits of the scholarship guys but have to show up at practice all the time and get your arse beat.
I know a guy who was in a similar situation about 7 years ago. He could have played at some lower level schools but he tried to walk on at LSU and ended up quitting almost immediately.
