BREAKING: It has just been announced that Tommy White, standout freshman from NC State, is transferring to LSU. He set the NCAA record for most home runs by a freshman this past season. On top of that, former Vandy pitcher Christian Little, a guy capable of being a weekend starter easily, has announced his transfer to LSU. Big day for the tigers!

These transfers are just what the doctor ordered. Can’t imagine how good this team will be if we get more than expected of this class showing up on campus.

Seriously? Does that mean that we’re not expecting a ton of guys from this great incoming class to make it to campus? It wouldn’t really be surprising if up to 10 don’t make it to campus I guess.

LSU cleaning house on the top guys in baseball. But LSU ain't spending money. Okay.
LSU is built to win a championship next year with these steals and it ain't done yet. Wait until these wheels get oiled for football.

Well we have added 2 pitchers now with little who could both be weekend guys. You add one more and you are in pretty good shape with what you have returning and the freshman class. You add even one of Skenes, Hall, or Hurd and watch out. 2 or more and you might have the best rotation on paper in the conference

Need to find 4 lefties somewhere.
As for White, is he coming in as DH or is Morgan going to transition to LF?

Aren't you always on here saying lsu can't compete money wise?

In addition to the 5 in the recruiting class that will make it to campus?

My question would be is, how much does the new transfers play in the mind of the incoming players.

Why can’t White play 3rd? I think there’s an opening there.
This past season White played 13 games at first base and 8 at third base. I suppose it is possible to make more errors than Berry, so we can let Jay sort that out.
The biggest question mark is White only had 5 HBP. Five.

You think guys are deciding to go pro to avoid collegiate competition?

Honestly, I seriously ignore high school baseball recruiting because so many guys have historically signed pro deals. So, it's good to hear that we have 5 coming in.
You can hop down off that pedestal now.

No, I'm saying it's harder for LSU to sell in football against the bigger money schools because it's more competitive than a sport like baseball. The money being dropped in football is ridiculous right now because it's the money sport. That doesn't mean they're just going to curl up and cuck themselves letting the program that makes the athletic department all their money fold.
