He’s not that different than a lot of head coaches in that regard. Van Horn and Schlossnagle never leave campus.

Mainieri has been a great ambassador for LSU
I don’t always agree w his pitching moves, but he has done a very good job with lineups and positions over the years
He has handled draft decisions second to none

Have you thought about the fact that Mainieri couldn’t just pick up the phone and call him without committing a violation?
He talked to the recruiting coordinator last night and the head coach this morning, calm your tits. There is plenty enough to bitch about with Mainieri without even nitpicking like this.

Hopefully it continues. I think Guidry is the third current Barbe Buc that is committed to LSU.

JC Vanek and Bryce Navarre are the other two.
But Navarre is now showing as being in Texas. I don't know if this is hurricane related, but the recruiting sites don't show him as at Barbe anymore.
I know there was at least one other big time prospect from Lake Charles that went somewhere else. Mississippi State commit and former Sam Houston catcher Cameran Christ is now at Live Oak.

Geez can we just get through football season and basketball season before we get to the most underwhelming program at LSU for the last ten years plus. Kinda miss not watching pawl make game losing calls and piss away the best talent in the country. To put it in perspective LSU baseball is UGA football. Going on 12 years with nothing to show.
