I think that is what happened (log jam at middle infield). I am not upset at the coaches, as I think they had a high opinion of him, just not enough room perhaps. I am a little biased, but in addition to the obvious talent, Kennon has the "it" factor, when the lights come on, and the situatiion is big, he tends to rise to the top even more so. Baseball guys who played football like he did also tend to be very tough, physically, mentally, etc. And to top it all off he is a good student, GREAT kid, and you are NOT going to read about him in the police blotter.

Selfishly I just wanted to see him in the Purple and Gold uniform, but he will be great at Ok St!

You shouldn't be surprised. They're always a hot bed of talent.

My school has gone to shite. We are only #22 on that list and when I went we were always a top 5 team.

That's what happens when your state has more than 20,000,000 people in it.

In the 2nd list AZ has 3 of the top 25 which I would guess makes us the #1 state per capita.

Quinn, Leger, and Fontenot were on the Lake Charles Little League team that made it to the 2005 Little League World Series quarter-finals.

As were the Jordan Twins (LSU committs).

It was the semis I do believe. Ended up losing 3rd place game because they didn't pitch Kennon and trey had been used the game before.Treys no hitter Amazing
And story from how close they were to winning the whole thing no doubt in my mind Kennon would have dominated the champ game SeMi final write up

Thanks for the info--thought surely some of the Barbe players were on that great Little League team that advanced so far some years ago.

Sounds like LSU could use the Jordan's this season, but we'll wait.

Apparently today. He also said "signed" and not "committed" per twitter. Sucks.

Win win for the ULL and Fontenot. Glad he's staying in state.
