Honestly, I don't think Saban could work for a guy like Jones. Saban likes to have complete control of every minute detail and so does Jerry. I'm afraid Saban would kick him in the balls.

I for one believe in free discussion. I don't expect there to be much Bama sympathy, but cordiality and respect are things I do expect.

Spouting drivel with no evidence that is slanderous to my program is anything but respectful.

You are correct. Those two would never make it through an interview with each other. Both are full blown control freeks with Narcissitic personalities and that is a recipe for disaster. He would last in Dallas shorter than Mike Price lasted in Tuscaloosa.

I don't see Satan going to the No Fun League, due to lack of control and meddling owners. That only leaves about 4 or 5 college teams he would bolt for if the job came available.

He will nto leave Alabama for another college job at this point. I think if Miles left for Mmichigan last year we would have lost him but I think he stays at BAMA now until he retires. I know there are a lot of people here that will disagree but I think it is because they hate the fact that he is at BAMA not because they are being reasonable. He has no reason to leave BAMA. BAMA is one of the top 5 coachig jobs in the nation no matter what some people may say or think. He is at the premier program in the southeast.

I have no idea why you think Saban has any interest one iota in LSU. He flirted with 2 or 3 jobs every season except his first. His wife and daughter were crazy about LSU and Baton Rouge, but for Nick, LSU was just a layover.

Beg to differ with that. Maybe in 1978,not 2008.Not a bad gig at all, just open to debate whether it is the premier job in the SE.

When you show me no respect, I show you no respect.

If you are willing to provide evidence for your terribly vitriolic statements I will apologize.

But you can't. Because the only thing that you can back it up with is hate and construed lies.

Have you ever been affiliated with the University of Alabama? I doubt it.

My family has been associated with the University since 1873, and the athletic department since the 1930's. I know many, many people that work in athletics, and my grandfather provides a nice sum to the University and AD. I have talked with him on several occasions about the paying of players. After our recent probation, no one has even thought of cheating.

I also know two players and am good friends with a current commitment. I have also spoken of the issue with them. Guess what? No wrongdoing.

It is quite alright for you to dislike the University of Alabama, but spreading falsehoods for no apparent reason is not alright.

So you are a booster for Alabama players & have made contact with a current Alabama Commitment?

bunch of inbred cousin humping gumps. they seriously think they can sign 30 players after signing 32 of their "memorable" recruiting class last year?

I said my grandfather is a booster. I know two players because I have relatives that went to their high school and met them before. I've been good friends with a current recruit because I've known him since I was 7.

In case your reading comprehension has gone down the shitter, I stated that all of this is after we were put on probation.

Coach Saban thinks we can. I trust him on this manner more than anyone else.

First, this is my first post here. I'm glad I finally decided to join in.

Second, we can bring in around 27-29. We have around 81 on scholarship right now. The nine scholarshipped seniors are heading out the door. Two of our Class of 2009 will backcount to 2008, as we only had 23 join us this last August. Plus, a few more scholarship are expected to open up with transfers and medical hardships to be granted. In the end, the numbers will work just like they did last year. These numbers aren't coming from "delusional" fans on Tidefans.com or any other forum, but from the coaching staff and the prospects they continue to persue despite 20 verbals at this time.

Now, as far as prospects in Louisiana are concerned, I know the likelihood of them signing is minimal at best. Of course that won't stop Coach Saban from pursuing them. I certainly don't expect Janzen Jackson, Kenny Bell, or Barkevious Mingo to sign. However, I think most can agree that Rueben Randle is difficult to read at this point.

As for William Campbell, I doubt he's headed anywhere but Michigan.

Welcome aboard Capstone. This is the best board in all of college football. The people here are great and most of the hell we give each other is all in good fun.

I agree with what you have said but I think Randle is an LSU lock but just having fun like Julio did last year. We have about a 5% chance at him but I think LSU would have to do something stupid to lose him. Just my opinion. I would love to have him but I think Kelly will be great also along with some of the others we have.
