This year isn't over but its certainly worth monitoring coming off of last year.

History tells us that there isn't really much of a talent disparity, considering multiple championships have been built off of in-state kids.

I understand 1 down year. Rarely is there ever B2B down years in LA. I dont think this is a down year though, as many kids have LSU caliber offers but not an actual LSU offer.

And IMO the potential volatility & wavering of out of state commits sometimes just isnt worth it when there is a near equal kid in state.

Does this mean we now get another Slade Bolden thread, good nite, the melt on this board when chose the Tide.

Saban tries a 4th & 1 use of him to give us all the middle finger and kid doesn't even get a yard against us. Now, I wish this young man and many like him nothing but the best.

I trust this staff after last year they have proven to me and should have to us all they offer who they want and go after the best fit for us.

Dear Slade, you are Tigerbait and I think you end up on the list at the beginning of this thread.

LSU has 2 commmits from LA, one being a punter.

and by my count only has 4 committable offers out to other instate kids.

yet some of guys have UGA, OU, Bama, USC offers according to 24/7.

We really going to pretend LSU is above recruiting those same caliber of kids???

Tim Williams had a pretty good college career.

9.5 saks as a junior

9 sacks and 16 TFL as a senior.

can't really pretend he didn't do anything in college.

And they could also be non-commitable. You can show Bama with offers to 100+ kids.

Doesnt seem like it. Within the last month or two they been posted on Twitter. 4 star guys.

Malik Nabers for example has an offer to play CB at OU or WR at UGA and you are telling me LSU can’t find a spot for that kid?

Loos like the coaching staff feels confident in their WR board at this time. I am not sure about CB but I will look at that. But I don't think LSU has to "Find a spot". That's not where the program is. You're acting like he's a can't miss prospect.

Major issues. Will not and should not be offered by LSU.

Not in disagreement. The list is simply ALL those from LA who signed with UA. Williams was included in the 25% of those LA players who achieved college success.

My opinion, which admittedly may be biased, is had Eaux been his coach at LSU, Williams would have achieved higher levels of play and accomplishment. The same goes for Isaiah Buggs, who was inadvertently left off the list. Buggs, who had 3 total tackles in his first NFL season, was a 6th round draft choice. I am certain, and know that Eaux would agree, that his college career and NFL draft position would have been markedly better had he had Eaux as his coach at his home state school LSU.

I'm sorry but what are you basing this on? Why wasn't Fehoko drafted? Or does O reserve his special "development" only for in state kids? Then again that doesn't explain why 5* Rashard Lawrence was only a 4th round pick now does it?

Bama has had more players drafted and more first rounders over the last decade than any program ever, if your pitch is that some La guys didn't make the pros, well good luck with that

Define misses? A lot of the kids he listed played there for 4-5 years, so they didn't go pro, that doesn't mean they were misses if they were good college players especially if they graduated. Also a guy like Chris Allen got hurt but to the best of my knowledge is still there, how do we know he won't make the NFL? If you think a kid that didn't make the NFL from Bama would have if he came to LSU you are deluding yourself.

being a homer is fine but he is only deluding himself with this nonsense. I especially love how they don't get credit for the guys that were studs because they would have been good any way

Many La. Kids have been great at bama. Eddie Lacey was a beast, Landon Collins, Cam Robinson,Dylan Moses, Tim Williams,Irv Smith, Kenny Bell, Denziel Duvall,Shy Carter, Cam Sims,Devonta Smith.Robbie Green was very good, just liked to smoke the grass to much. I think many La. Kids are underrated by the national guys, much like bama kids. Chris Allen I think will be very good before he leaves bama,Knee injury his 2nd year really hurt him. Should be ready to go this year. Do we get bust out of La. sure, we get them out of Alabama,Fl,Ga,Tenn,Texas, and Cali too. I have to say we usually have good luck with La. kids, not that are all super stars but they find a way to make a impact and find a role. Denzel Duvall is the perfect guy who found a role, never was a flashy player but did his job. Darren Sentimore without doubt was a player from La. that was great to watch in garbage time and you thought if he would get the playbook down on D he would make a huge Impact, but Sentimore for all his talent was a complete head case. Much talk about Ish, the inside reports I have read, said he has all the talent in the world but needs to get and stay in shape to reach his potenial. Sure I have left off some La. Kids...

How is Luther Davis’ career remembered?

Just messing with you. Bear Bryant spoke at my HS Banquet my Sophomore year in HS in Kenner, LA. Took a multiple year All American with him in Tommy Wilcox. Same year got another from Shaw in Steve Mott. Both were recruited by Bobby Marks, a New Orleans guy.
Long history of Alabama cherry picking LA.
