No need. It's not new info. Just the staff has spoken to Avery and feel good about where they stand. He is still committed, he will take visits, will announce his college choice in January, and that's basically it.

Didn't AJ say earlier this year that he intended to take visits and see other places, but was still very much committed to LSU. Sounds like the same shite in a different wrapper. He'll be a Tiger comed Feb 2012. I won't lose sleep over it.

I haven't read the thread, but is Avery now not sure he wants to come to LSU? I have heard that he was a soft commit, but Patrick was always very positive about it.

avery is going to enjoy the process, but i'm still very confident he'll be a tiger in the end. doesn't hurt that his brother is probably in our corner.

Would be funny if AJ was playing a LSU rival in the SEC just so they'll waste resources recruiting on him. Possibly passing on other targets thinking they have a good shot at AJ...

I'm a bit of a hypocrite when it comes to recruiting stuff... I read a lot about it... but usually discount the importance of most of the reports
Anyway, he's a great potential get and there will always be rumors about those guys. That's just the media world we have right now - when even La'el Collins is rumored to be going elsewhere

Any thought he might want to sit back and see if the addition of Krags and Mett will take more advantage of the great WR's on campus?
Certainly PP7 is in his ear, but maybe he's telling him how good RR is and the lack of opportunities and production.

Not a bad perspective, but both RR and Sheppard will become seniors when he becomes a freshman. Don't have to worry about that really. And yea we do have Jarvis Landry but like I stated in another post he is are only other young "big-time" WR recruit(doesn't mean he'll be the only one to have a great college career but the only one the so called experts deem elite.) And one other elite WR is a good thing to prevent double teams. Besides any big time college program is gonna have other big time WRs. Unless u go to a smaller school u gonna have to face competition. With Mett throwin to him, Jarvis Landry preventing double teams, and Spencer Ware, etc. keeping a safety in the box and preventing to many guys from dropping into coverage that's a desirable situation for Avery to be in where he could excel and put up big numbers!!

IF he likes us, COME ON DOWN......if not, meh, we can get receivers that are great all day. ALways have, always will.
