You never heard of loyalty either??? Went to everything LSU ever had and goes somewhere else? He can take his brother and dad with him.

How selfish is this?

Honestly I just think he wanted to leave for college and I understand that.

That being said, why TF did he go to Aubie? LSU tiger bait.

Wonder how many freebies the Ausberry boys have enjoyed over the years? Same with Dylan Moses.....

Then the old staff botched it while Auburn has been continually recruiting him.

Smart kids take the better offer. With Kelly here now and guys jumping ship at Auburn coming off a decent season, tell me which program has the higher upside over a four year career.

This is no different than Bianco's kids going to LSU and Louisville.

It’s not even remotely the same situation. Some kids don’t want to be coached by their fathers, and I get that. Some fathers feel the same way about coaching their kids, as well. Verge isn’t a coach, so there is absolutely no similarity between the two situations.

Hey guys let him go....he was not that good. Why is anyone upset when a 17/18 year old kid decides to go to another school. We only want kids who want to be here and are actually mature enough to understand and believe in what Kelly is trying to do.

The bigger question is does Verge actually believe in what Kelly is trying to do? You would think if he did, he could have communicated that to his kid. If not, he should probably go too. If I were in Woodward's shoes it would be worth a private conversation.

If this is true, it's sad.
Mom and/or dad need to show the kids their paycheck and the letters "LSU" on it.

I think this is a great opportunity for the Advocate to do an update on Verge and his entire family. The local paper has let him hide these past 12 months.

How involved is he with the athletic department? Does he still make up the schedules?
Is he still named in any active lawsuits?
How much is he being paid and how much was his salary reduced after the news broke that he hid the rape reports?
I want to read this story, Advocate, not some b-s piece on some guys that Kelly once made carry stuff from his car.

I know you follow this closer than most. But given our depth isn’t he a take? Or do we have better options? How does the younger brother play Into this? Do you project him to be someone we want?

I fukin agree if it were my son he would have his arse at lsu. If he was a brainiac and wanted georgia tech or vandy fine. That would be ok.

Hope his dad is a better administrator than he is a recruiter.

I hear you, but i think giving your son the freedom to make his own decision trumps you.

LSU treated this kid like he didn't exist until last week. Recruiting is about building relationships. Auburn made him feel like a priority and part of their plan going forward.

Whatever. They were way late to the party on Jack Bech last year. He just decided force himself into the plan by balling out.
