I’m also extremely close (we’re like brothers) to the guy who takes him on his visits. Is he an angel, no, but if you don’t understand his upbringing and situation please don’t come on here spreading things. He’s not a TROUBLED kid at all.

I'm not going to get into to a who knows who argument. And I'm definitely not putting down the kids talent because I think he will be a good one. I hope this time next year he's had a great season and well on his way to getting in LSU.

Come on...why not? What else to we have to do?

Both of your sources could be correct. People act different in different settings, so it's entirely plausible that Atkins acts one way around the guy who brings him on visits than he acts around his friends or at school.

I’m actually from Jonesboro and like i said he’s not a perfect kid but he’s not legally getting into any trouble. He has mentors around that keeps him in line. Is he a lil childish, at times. He’s been humbled and I’m glad it happened to him. They had a terrible season and he gave it 200% every time he stepped on the field, that right there showed me how much he’s matured. Because committing to a big time school like LSU will have some kids thinking they are above others and he doesn’t carry himself like that.
