Maybe that is one problem with the team. It never hurts to have gamebreakers with speed.

I'm not saying some of those guys are slow, like, I'd bet RR probably runs around a 4.5, hes just a long strider. But we needs guys with gamebreaking speed. Sylve is one of the fastest guys in the country next year. Luckily for us, hes considered a lean.

I'm not sure if i remember this right but RS had problem with the ball last year...Les had to use TO and RS cant hold on the ball that well....is it Les fault that he doesnt want to use him for the Capital Bowl?

Good try, but surely you don't believe that yourself. Lets see who makes the most improvement next year, a sophmore, or junior. Barkley's upside is much much higher than JJ's. With Barkley, we would be a contender, not a pretender.

im not buying this shite people are saying. I still look back when saban was here and there were plenty of times and situations we lacked depth. the onnly position we have lacked under miles is oline. but the dline was so deep it didnt fricking matter. I will support any kid who suits up for lsu and gives it their all.

cant wait for this kid to tear it up

Whats all this talk about Williams speed, the guy just ran a 4.47(40) at Max Emfinger's combine. Maybe he had a bad day.

yeah you could say if we had tebow we would be a contender or if we had mallet we would. news flash the only two qbs we had that were highly rated were jmarc and perrilloux.

Watch his film. No way is he 4.47 on the field. Great possession receiver and should be deadly in the redzone.

I was comparing the talents between them...USC has a better O-line (mostly Juniors and Seniors) and LSU has mostly Juniors...can you really consider Jefferson as a "sophomore"?? he started a full season at QB...just like Barkley

So you're saying that you would rather have Jefferson over Barkley?
NOBODY believes this!

are you freaking dumb? TH had enough touches

I will not admit to being dumb but I feel Holiday was wasted as a player at LSU. He should have been a 10 touch per game guy not counting returns.
Look at the Arkansas game. He got 9 touches out of the RB position and ran for 60 yards and a TD.

How quickly people forget that in 2003 we had a freshman rb and a freshman safety starting.

and in 2003 saban was still building the program

the SEC title game was not the last game

Does anyone remember clayton playing both sides of the ball?

in 2002 we did not have the benefit of many years of top recruiting

but yet saban gets a pass and miles doesnt.

saban didn't take over LSU in 2005 like miles did

And you know this how? Barkley had 15 TDs and 14 INTs this year playing against Pac 10 defenses. Jefferson had 17 TDs and 7 INTs against SEC defenses. Jefferson also had a better QB rating. Both have almost the same amount of experience. Maybe we would have been better with Barkley at QB, but there's zero chance that you can claim that for a fact.
