There are no TM7 type of CBs. The guy is an original. You might live out your days without seeing another CB of that type and caliber.

No truer a statement has been said on the this board. Without turning this into a TM7 hijacked thread, many folks said that Micah Eugene looked like he was the next TM7. Truth is, he truly is a unique player you won't see the likes of for years, if not decades at any school, not just LSU.

Wonder if these guys keep it real with each other. Like I wonder if Willis is like hush up with that anti-LSU nonsense, your dad acting like a fool is what kept you from getting an offer. Or is it like yeah man whatever you say I'm just down to ride.

Your thoughts and opinions....

Noel looked great in the all star events. I felt sorry for the kid when he was being interviewed. All he said was, I don't hate LSU, I never got an offer. I hope he does well where ever he plays. Seems like a great kid. I think the Tigers are missing on someone that will be special.

An easy response to the OP is that old cliche,"Don't cry over spilled milk!" Though I actually agreed with the decisions of the DB's this coaching staff decided to pursue over Ellis. Sure, maybe now that Cutrer didn't qualify and Willis will likely sign with UCLA, Ellis might have been worth an offer, but there are more great DB's out there for 2014, including some from Texas, my home state, that the Tigers can try to land.

Does 200k population include those students enrolled at A&M? Didn't think that population was that high.

It's not. That dude doubled the actual population. Plus Houston is tight and all, but Noel is from NOLA and I bet he's going to miss being so far away from New Orleans

I hate how the situation turned out with his dad and all. The stupid thing is he was at the camp for the 7on7 but I don't think he did the full camp. He would have gotten an offer. Plenty of other players are also asked to camp first

LSU has better CBs on roster than A&M, so he might not have been seen as early at LSU.

That population figure is low by about thirty thousand.

The poster I replied to referenced his play at corner specifically
Actually, he didn't. He referred to TM7 as "a CB", which was his position (as listed on the roster). Where he lined up on given plays does not change the fact that he was indeed a CB at LSU, and was a playmaker at LSU the likes of which may never be seen again. Brandon Larson was far, FAR more notable for being a HR hitter than his defensive play at shortstop. That does not change the fact that he is among the most outstanding players we've ever had that played shortstop.

College Station itself is around 100k, yes. But Bryan--as shitty as it may be--is directly adjacent and is home to another 75k.

There's no sense in ignoring the total population of Brazos Valley for the purpose of determining the amount of people that live around TAMU. They're all located in one area. I should have said "area" rather than "town," but in this context, that's just semantics.

quote:

Population of Bryan: 76,201

Population of College Station: 93,857

Population of Brazos County: 194,851

quote:

Location: 95 miles north of Houston, 169 miles south of Dallas, 166 miles northeast of San Antonio and 104 miles east of Austin; 75% of the Texas and Louisiana populations, a total of 13.1 million people, reside within 3 1/2 driving hours of B-CS.

Hey, thanks for all that population info about Bryan/College Station. It is a more populated area that I thought, and not just a college town. The location is pretty good also--as you point out, not that far from San Antonio, Houston Austin & Dallas.

It's hard to be underrated and the third best corner on your team, yet be the best that LSU has ever seen.

I might be wrong, but I think this is referring to my post. I never said TM7 was the best LSU has ever seen. I said we've never seen another like him - not just at LSU, I mean on planet earth! But I wouldn't say he was as good as PP7. He was definitely better than Mo, though. I don't disagree with the "pure CB" comments, but who gives a shite? A CB who gives up three completions because he's too short, but rips the ball away from the poor WR on the third one, is just as valuable as the "pure CB" who defenses all three.

Compare TM7 to Mo, he gave up a few more completions, but he caused a hell of lot more turnovers. Contrary to what's been said on here, TM7 was often matched against the other team's top WR. For example: after Andre Debois beat Mo for a TD on a bomb, they tried that shite on TM7 and he ate Debois for breakfast, and we were going the other way!

when your that age the ppl who have the biggest influence on you are your friends and you know that Noel feels played he didn't get an offer for LSU so he is going to be the biggest anti LSU voice in Willis's ear

Ellis Jr will be at Texas A&M, while Willis is still at Karr, with Noil, who is his team and class mate that most expect to commit to LSU sooner than later, plus is parents seem to be pro LSU. If he picked A&M it won't be because Ellis Jr influenced him.
