it's possible. maybe O and Steele can pull Beckner away from Mizzou. With Valentine and Trey from last year and what's potentially coming in 2016 (Alexander, Oliver, and Logan) we might be okay if we can lock down 2 of those 3 guys next year.

Oh well as I see it these guys will just get passed up now and wee will go after guys that really want to play for LSU and be a dominate D that we haven't seen here at LSU!!! LSU playing hard ball either come be a part of something special or go be a part of something trying to be special. A&M is not very close and have a ways to go. I don't think Chavis was what A&M needed but that's just my opinion. Good luck

We gonna end up with probably 4 or 5 DTs next year IMO. Depends how we close this year out but we will need like 4 really good ones.

everybody knows he'll end up an Aggie.

Been this way for a while.

TV "redshirted" (more like "redtapeshirted", but whatever) which will help the bite at the position, but are we really taking 0 DTs in 2015? A move to 3-4 might be out of necessity.

Daylon Mack is an elite talent and this D line needs an aggressive run stopper. Who agrees?

Shot him a message and he didn't seem like he was even considering LSU anymore. I'd give up on this kid as a fan. Hopefully the coaches stay on him, but don't expect him to be in purple and gold.

Why would he give you information? Do you know the kid?

Yes, I've brought info from him to this site like, a year ago. He was pretty interested in LSU a few weeks ago when it was "LSU/TCU"... Chavis going to TAMU pretty much solidified it all.

Apparently 1045 was reporting that BBI spoke to Mack and he stated that with hiring Coach O that LSU was back in the mix. This is being reported in the stickied Recruiting thread at the top of the page.

I wouldn't put too much stock in it but who knows. "Back in the mix" doesn't necessarily mean there's a good chance.

Fwiw, it was the morning of the announcement when I messaged him. Who knows what has been said since then.

The prime recruiting directive is, "never give up". If you miss out, you miss out but you can't surrender until the letter is signed.

The coaches should never give up, sure. I'm just telling yall not to get your hopes up. Do as you please, though. Maybe orgeron pulls it out.

He did us a favor by officially eliminating us. Now, we can focus elsewhere and possibly get someone with real interest.

I was walking through the living room and ESPN was saying he recommitted to Aggy to play for Chavis and Haley. Someone on the Rant posted the same thing. As everyone has been saying on here he's gone and we can now move on and not talk about this guy anymore. Appears ESPN got the Haley thing wrong IDK.
