Even if he's projected as a 2nd round pick? With no guaranteed money?

I don't know the status of his classes but with the medical redshirt from last year he may be done with school after this year. If that's the case, I think he opts for the NBA rather than returning to just play bb. I hope I am wrong cause we sure could use him next year.

I haven't really looked at who would be coming out this year from college and overseas, so it's hard to say which draft class is lighter (this year or next), but I would have to bet that he'll be back for his senior year.

You have to be damned sure you're going to go in the first round if you leave early or you run the risk of turning out like Mario Austin. I know there are also success stories from guys in the 2nd, but the risk is unnecessary.

Just a few weeks ago I thought it was ridiculous to even talk about Tasmin going to the NBA, with him being a 'tweener and all. With the way he has been playing lately, especially his outside shooting, I'm starting to change my mind.

I still don't think he is ready, but I'm hoping he doesn't get some bad advice. If Coach Johnson could sign a power forward this year and assure Tasmin that he would go back to his natural position of small forward next year, that might lock him up for next season. A monster season at small forward could put him in the first round. And next year, all of the offense would go through him. I could easily see him average 20 and 10 and be conference MVP, unless our team completely sucked.

If he gets any pub, I would expect Taz to leave. He saw what a good season can do for your stock (diffrence between where Tyrus and Glen went) and knows we will strugle next year. Also, I don't think this draft class if full of studs like Beasley, Rose, Mayo, Augustin or Lopez.

This year you have Blake Griffin, Hasheem Thabeet and Stephen Curry, maybe Ty Lawson. Although, I haven't seen a mock that even has Taz on it, so he might not go.

Actually it is quite sparse once again. We only have 1 player in the Rivals 150. Langston Galloway

not really alarming

3 of our 5 starters werent highly recruited out of HS

and they are all from LA, (BR specifically).

2010 is a deep class in Louisiana. Maybe not a huge blockbuster class with high profile guys but loaded with 3 and 4 star type athletes. Guys you build a college program around.

It sounds like we can expect to struggle a little bit.

No team in the NC2a can lose 5 or 6 guys who all contribute and not regress a bit at the beginning of the season. A team can come together and be much improved by season's end. This year's team, though experienced, had to learn a whole new system and it took a couple of months to gell. Next years team will have enough veterans returning to help the coaches initiate the newcomers from day one. Word on the two redshirts is that both are putting on a little muscle and will be counted on to contribute next season in a big way.

Best player you haven't heard of...........

He, Trovon Reed and a solid group of seniors have us at 25-5 ranked 6th in 5A.

Next year will basically be Trent's first year. He was fortunate to come in with such a veteran team with great talent. As usual, there is no depth on the team, just as it was for Brady's entire tenure. Next year will be a rebuilding year but I have faith. TJ is a helluva coach.

If our goofy fanbase starts with the coach bashing again, the recruting program will not improve.

its really ironic you keep mentioning this considering jalen courtney mentioned the lsu fanbase as one of the biggest reasons he likes lsu. he also said aaron dotson told him the fanbase was the difference maker in him choosing lsu.
