Appears LSU has a winning strategy with recruiting.

LSU is killing it with Qb and offensive line recruiting. This Year, appears we are emphasizing the dline.
We may lose out on five star wr’s, cb’s etc. however, it appears they are spending their limited funds on oline, dline, and qb. They will fill in with developmental players at the skill positions.
This will win most games.

So you want current donors to pony up more? ….Or non donors to stretch those alligator arms.
Or both. Because you could have responded to a fat cat. Who knows.

If you going to bitch. Put money where your mouth is.
I donate and realize funds aren’t unlimited
We have won them all once. Must be miserable if that is the requirement.

I don’t care if we don’t get an OOS 5* WR. Just keep the best in-state at that position.

I know we like to adopt this "woe is me" attitude towards NIL, but the fact is our NIL fund is top third of the SEC, and increasing.
I know it may seem otherwise, what with us missing out on a starting DT in the portal, but we made very strong offers to the starting caliber DT's.
We are never gonna spend FU money on a middle of the road DT though. We will spend FU money on freshman 5 star WRs, CBs, DEs, QBs, OL,etc.
With CBK, we will always try to make our money go as far as it can, but money will not be the reason we lose out on a recruit, unless it become like a Colin Simmons situation, and not even Texas is going to have recruitments like that every year, much less multiple players like that in a single year.
The fact is that LSU is recruiting at a level that we've never really seen, the new defensive staff is just behind the the offensive side because they're playing catch up.
The Defense staff still hasn't completely filled out their boards, whereas the O side has their board filled out down to their plan A, B, C and D.
We will finish top 5, and possibly #1 this year, with our momentum building going into 26.
Years 25,26,27,and 28 could have LSU winning multiple national titles and possibly developing into the Bama/UGA of the latter half of this decade, but our fans can't see the forest for the trees and are now trashing CR because he hasn't recruited in a tineline in which makes them happy.
shite, I get it though. I too would love to have 3 5 star defensive lineman like UGA. I'd love to have OSU's dB recruits right now.
I'm also aware of the realities of our situation though. We will still definitely bring in some studs on D this cycle. Our Dline should really shore up after this cycle, and if we can pull in 3 or 4 of the DBs we're in the mix for, it sets us up well for this season and the next, and will serve as the springboard in to national dominance next year and the following years after.
I wouldn't trade futures with anyone in college football right now, and it's from that perspective that the context of most of my posts are derived from.

This part they slow played Wright and other in-state wrs. Staff better pray they can flip them or this board will really lose it. Lol

I’ll take what you’re having sir
Edit: It does seem like we have certain funds earmarked for certain players/positions (QB, DT, OL) with the remaining funds for all other positions. Definitely a winning strategy when you give the Davises dogs in the trenches

I like recruiting high character guys, doing what aTm has been doing obviously doesn’t work out!

BK is investing in retaining talent and adding to vital positions of need. He is building a program of depth.

In state "developmental" kids, like Nabors, Jefferson, CEH, etc...Louisiana ALWAYS produces enough skill position players to win

Both lines of scrimmage and the quarterback position or the most important pieces for a consistent winning opportunity. We have two of those three covered and working very hard on the third, which is the defensive line. We always said that the game is one in the trenches and it looks like they are Building a team with having strong line play on both sides of the ball. I agree with this philosophy.

Getting William at DT is a home run his size at 6'5 330 is something you will be hard to find.
DTs
2025- William and Brown (tomorrow)
2024- McKinley and Breaux
Possible
2026- Stewart, Anderson (committed),
Berymon
DT position is looking really bright for the Tigers

This board really loses it on everything this time of year.
Do you remember the Kelly can’t recruit two weeks.
The DL complete melt that lasted a month.
This is retard time of the year for this board when all the rantards come over. Think of it election year in the liberal media but yearly. That the recruiting board right now. 90% of these panic lovers couldn’t name the top recruit in LA for the two years. Yet they’ll be back next year telling everyone how bad LSU is doing.

Limited funds is not accurate. CBK is running football like a business.

Exactly.
And we survived not getting the California kid who went to Alabama then Georgia and the Jeffries kid who went to Maryland.
Sign the top 3 in-state WRs and save the NIL for DL and LB

In college football, QB is far and away the most important position, and it's not close. A phenomenal QB can lead a good team to a national championship. LSU currently has a singular QB committed for the 2025 class. We are surrounding him with exceptional talent.
The future for LSU is very bright.
