But tonight I didn't see any indication whatsoever that he is or will be a great football player.

Contrast this with Landon Collins. The game I saw him play in person a Martian would have picked him out at the best most superior player on the field on offense and defense... And he played that way every game.

if EJ has recruits, you might want to watch out for Coach Salt's ties to GA... he was Mettenberger's HS coach and coached around UGA from Katrina till '07

I only watched the 2nd half, and Jones was not that impressive.

Great win for EJ! Their RB was pretty good.

my LSU pride wants me to say no, cause he chose bama first...

but i mean it couldn't hurt to have him on the team

either way he wasn't that great from what I saw last night, but I believe someone said he has an injury?

and damn that was a great way for EJ to win!

How many passes did they get on him?

The first touchdown was definitely on the side of the field he was on the play prior. I don't know if it was on him or not since everyone on Neville's D went left and the pass was to the right.

His player went up and in...the rb came out of the backfield and no one picked him up....and yeah Hootie has played like this all year... his injury was a tweaked ankle in middle of season..nothing major...and I would say this even if he was going to LSU

Only threw that one pass period

That may have been his man, but I think it was a RB. Very nice play, btw.

90% of the game hootie was out wide covering the lone WR. They ran option every play. Hootie was not really involved most of the game. Then the moved him in middle but he was deep and not in on any tackles really (don't recall one tbh)

Looks to have good size but hard to gage anything from this game.

Yeah, but did you see how unagressive he was as a lead blocker or ball carrier in the second half? Soft, man. I didn't expect that.
On Defense, there were plenty of times he could've gotten a piece of the tackle, but just did a Welter and tapped the pile after it was over.
