Well according to 104.5 lunch show after the people left, we can officially sign 25 for this class. And I feel we finish with Dupree valentine and five others. Maybe carter and young as 2-5.

Pretty sure they even put Rushing above him so I think they gave him a look, but we would need to know there's a lot of open spots before we offer.

Also think the Texas commit Porter is the 2nd highest WR on the board. Hopefully he visits at least

If I was Gage, I would seriously consider Tulane more, which is likely where he goes if not LSU. He goes there, he's probably starting opening game 2014. Comes here and he may get buried in the depth chart

yea.. plus kevin toliver and xavier Lewis will be coming in next year.

That's looking from a fan perspective though. If I was a recruit, it may be a lot harder to tell LSU no if a scholarship is there. I guess as a potential college player, you have to believe that you can beat out others at your spot

Also, Tolliver and Lewis are far from the only two DBs we will be getting next year. If Gage plays safety, it will get very muddled if we also get guys like Kevin Henry and Jamal Peters in 2015

My wish is:
1. Dupre
2. Kelly
3. Valentine
4. Carter
5. Speaks or Trey L
6. Young
7. Jackson
And if we could fit him in, Porter

Who I think is more realistic is:
1. Dupre (maybe)
2. Kelly (if we can stave off FSU)
3. Valentine
4. Trey L (kinda think Speaks sticks with Ole Miss)
5. Porter (if he visits)

I don't think we get to 25.

I withdraw my pessimistic earlier post.

Sorry for any alarm.

I'm still hoping, but the last 48 hours or so seem to indicate he's eliminated us and Oregon.

do you have a link with that or any detailed info?

This is ideal. I feel like there is a reason Gage isn't being that heavily pursued.

There is no way that LSU offers Gage a full scholarship and even if they did he would be riding pine for four years or headed to list of end of the season transfers. Nice kid but not LSU type material on the field.

I may have jumped the gun - I see lots of headlines, but some of these may be misleading about "final 3" versus "final 3 to get last official visit" which are 2 completely different things.

Even digging into the USC 247 site the headline is misleading and does not suggest what I first stated.

I'll withdraw it.

apparantly, LSU is no longer interested in Granier. either Kelly is locked up or we will not take players just to get to 25.

I'm cautiously optimistic - I think Kelly is the OT for this class.

It's USC, UCLA and Florida to get his last official visit.

I can't remember the coaches exactly but two are heading to California to visit Adoree while two are going to St. Louis to visit his parents one last time to see if that can do it

Yeah, and that wasn't clear from the first paragraph or headline of either of the first 2 articles that I read. Once I was prompted (rightly so) to pony up, I realized I jumped the gun.

Thank goodness - Adoree makes losing Brown all better (upgrade) and may be able to replace some of the playmaking we lost in Speedy.

Getting Adoree also gives us either 2 corners (with Paris) or allows Paris the possibility of a look at safety (but, with the safety haul, particularly Adams, hopefully that experiment won't be necessary).

DBU, baby.
