Steltz, everyones hero on here, only ran in the mid 4.6's in high school and when he reported to LSU, and last time i checked he did and is doing just fine. i know i know what his rivals site said (4.5)but it was bullshite! lynx you wish you knew half as much as you pretend on here to know.

Lynx gets info that is not always from pay sites. He also lets us poor Tiger fans know what is going on with recruiting. I think he is an asset to this board.

I agree with you. I'm talking about a couple of them that are the first to attack people on this site for asking genuine questions and they pretend to be some kind insider bc they have memberships.

I saw him play a lot this year and he is plenty fast enough for a high school junior. He looks like he belonged on the field in that talented district and he stood out in my opinion. Most of these 40 times are garbage anyway. How can all these 2 and 3 star players run sub 4.5s?

40 times are WAY over exaggerated. I doubt many highly recruited kids truly run under 4.5 The combine times are pretty telling.

Folks, the most inaccurrate measurment for HS recruits is the inflated 40 times. Reid has speed and is a football player and a great pick up.

I never said anything negative about Reid. He is a stud football player and hopefully an eventual starter at SS opposite Loston at FS.

I don't claim to always have an insiders perspective. Every now and then I do find some information, but overall I just compile a bunch of information from across sites and can come up with some logical ideas about the recruiting process. I did it last year and will continue to do it; I have watched way too much of the highlight reels of these guys over the past few years I have followed this and feel I can get a pretty good idea of how a guy projects.
I just happen to take the time to learn about different recruits when other people on the board don't...I can at least let them know what I've come up with.
