On his rivals page, it says he is a soft verbal to Arizona State. I didnt realize he had so much interest in them.

He's been committed to ASU for several months now. Thinking is if he gets an LSU offer as a RB he's taking it. That hasn't happened yet so he's still committed. (Publicly)

His OV is scheduled for mid January @ASU.

that leaves Magee as the only returning RB. We'll need 3 RBs just to ensure we have some decent depth, assuming Hilliard goes.

Jeryl Brazil will be in the backfield too. so i think there will be two next season off...

jrevonte-have you seen the kid for ucla that plays rb/lb? what would your thoughts be if Dylan were to be used in the same capacity? Asking because on the high school level Dylan reminds me of the kid that is playing at ucla.

Yeah, that news wouldn't have been reported first on Tigerdroppings. He's full of it.
Eta: and if Les hasn't sent him packing yet, then he isn't going anywhere unless he does something stupid again.

Blue says he won't use his last year of eligibility that was just granted to him

I need a link because I don't think he ever said this.

But I know he said this

quote:

“There’s no risk to [coming back],” Blue continued. “I only could benefit from coming back. I’m feeling good now, come back another year with coach Cam, know the offense a little better and really have a breakout year again.”

Jim Kleinperter put out an article with zero facts other than blue got another year and was participating in Sr day. He didn't even bother to ask the guy himself.

I'm almost positive I remember reading he ran closer to a 4.7 at LSU's camp, maybe even a 4.65 or something like that.

What's more important is how fast he is in pads

Does anybody even remember Alfred Morris's 40 time? If you are strong as an ox, doesn't really matter. I mean Charles Scott ran a 4.6 and look at his 2008 year.

This isn't a bad 40 time for a running back his size with his power. Pierre Thomas runs a similar 40 and he's done pretty well in the league. I hope we get this kid.

Hope my post didn't send the wrong message. I want DW at LSU. Regardless of 40 time, that boy's a beast.

Nah, bro. If anything, you cleared things up. People exaggerating about him running a 4.8. I'm sure if everyone would do some research and get the average 40 time of running backs in the league, 4.6 would probably be close to average. The kid runs strong and runs with aggression. A Les Miles type of back. Any other year he would have been a Tiger already.

Agree. Big bruiser backs with deceptive speed tend to do well at LSU, and we could certainly use the depth.

A 4.6 at a high school camp usually equates to a 4.8 at the combine, 40 times are always greatly exaggerated at these camps.
A great example, Justin Vincent supposedly ran a 4.43 at one of theses camps. At the combine, he's credited for running a 4.65.

Truth be told, there's a big difference between 4.6 and 4.8 speed...at the pro level.

That being said, I don't care what 40 time he runs out of high school, the kid can play. He's a great college prospect with the potential to develop into a great pro prospect.

I hope to see him wearing the purple and gold.

Yep. And Brazil himself thinks he will be back. He has some steps to take, that he is taking and meeting CLM's requirements. He's dedicated himself to taking those steps- right now. He's on course to return.

On Alfred Blue...
It does seem Kleinpeter published a poorly researched article with several large assumptions. I think dgnx6 is stating it accurately. Blue may not return after all, but he hasn't said yet.
