Some states have 6 or 7 man tackle football in high school. Has any recruit ever had any significant success coming from one of these schools?

I'm watching Texas 6 on Amazon and was wondering.

Dj30!

He was better at any sport and position compared to Brennan. Only thing he has on dj30 is height.

Rashaan Salaam played 8 man high school football. Won a Heisman Trophy at University of Colorado.

Yes, Vander Esch has played more small lineup games than 11v11 games in his career still. Crazy.

They are pretty fun games to watch if you ever get the chance. Last one I went to was in 2015 and the final was like 104-88. Baws sipping on a case on their tailgate in the end zones.

It was many years ago, but Jack Pardee was a member of a six man football team in Christoval, Texas. He was an All American fullback at Texas A&M and would go on to be an All Pro linebacker for the L.A. Rams and Washington Redskins.

Pardee is also the only man to ever be head coach of team in four different professional leagues: NFL, USFL, WFL and CFL. He was inducted in the College Football Hall of Fame as a player in 1986.

I remember Pardee, and got the above info from his Wikapedia profile.

Vander Esch played eight man football for Salmon River, Idaho. Matt Paradis played for Council, Idaho in the same league. He is considered one of the top 3-5 centers in the NFL. He was the starting center for the Denver Broncos when Peyton Manning led them to the Super Bowl win in 2016.

I’m pretty sure the championship Nebraska teams in the 90s had a pretty healthy portion of 6 man guys on the roster.

He went to a small private school. But it was not 6 man. That league he played in does have 8 man today, but at the time he was playing, the MPSA (MAIS now) didn’t have 8 man. He did play in the class A which was the smallest in the league, but it was 11man ball.
