I'm wondering if CBK has talked to him about going on offense the way CBK uses TEs.
I have no info.. just throwing out for discussion.

This is a good concept. With Perkins coming in, we could use weeks as a back up linebacker, and 3 string TE.

Cuz he's white and big?

He was an athlete in high school, and lined up all over the field.

Very interesting idea - seems plausible given his size and athleticsm. Good call & food for thought moving forward IMO.

Ummmm West Weeks hits Toght Ends on and off the field. Hits Tight Ends in pads on the field and hits some nice tight ends in the dance floor and bed probably but I don't get into his personal business.

Is 220 lbs big enough for Tight End? He started LB as a Freshman and did well albeit, in the ACC. Maybe depends on how Perkins adjust to playing against the increased competition. I don't think Perkins will make huge impact his Freshman season. But I hope I'm wrong.

It's not a bad idea but i think he came here to play linebacker.
They sold him on playing linebacker.
I think they find a te after spring

He's not big enough for a traditional TE unless it's a flex TE mostly used for receiving.

He was recruited here to be a LB. He's exactly like the LBs matt house coached at KC in terms of speed. I'm sure he will put on maybe 5-10 more lbs. Definitely not.

Lake Charles must have gotten a funky batch of pills this month.

Hmmmm.
Well Trindon did play defensive end so anything is possible.

Maybe Perkins would like playing tight end, or maybe Mike Jones?

Well it's not that odd of a question. He is listed as an athlete and not as a linebacker on at least one recruiting site. But also I believe he played some TE in high school in addition to linebacker

Not sure about other positions but from what I saw at
LB the dude is an athlete football player for sure, right!
Looks like he has a nose for it. I should probably see more film on him but the first guy that came to mind was Sean Lee of the Cowboys when he first got to the League.
We can always hope but I'm NOT saying the dude will turn into Sean Lee! His physical actions like stance, side to side movement and the way he used his hands/arms - not a strength yet - just reminded me of Lee right off the bat.
