of Port Neches, TX (Beaumont Metro Area)...He’s currently committed to Texas, who by the way, is completely sucking it up in recruiting this year.

He’s rated at the #43 overall prospect nationally at any position (#5 OT) by 247, and you couldn’t get much closer to the Louisiana state line than Beaumont. Hopefully us whipping Texas into shape in Week 2 will turn his head our way a bit.

That may turn more than his head towards LSU. Would be great if it turned a couple more olinmen our way.

How you gonna fit them into this class? Don’t get me wrong. I’d love a few more bodies on the O line, but looking at our current class and the remaining prospects we are pushing hard for, we have at best two spots open and that’s being generous.

If a top 5 OT wants in I promise they will find room.

Hopefully the coaches are on him. Baton Rouge is a hell of a lot closer to Beaumont than Austin is.

Of course. But my post was specifically about the

If on field results mattered that much every LSU target that Bama wants would go to Bama.

Sometimes players that committed don't actually get into the class. If there's 2 players that want in, and you can take only 1, you take the better of the two. I'm not a big fan of 'processing' players, especially those that have been committed for a long time, but it's just the nature of the beast. If there's 3 really good olinemen that want in this class, I can't imagine turning them away. Courtland Ford has already gotten processed. A different reason than someone better wants that spot, but processed still the same. You must address needs first then take the very best you can get. I think LSU right now has committable offers to Paris Johnson, Chad Lindberg and Dumervil. If they all want in, I don't see LSU turning them down.

Garth is teammates and good friends with Roschon Johnson, QB that just signed with the Longhorns. Pretty sure he is locked into Texas.

Lol, well, with WR Giles and other transfers they should be able to sign more than 25. I would like to see them get this kid along with Ford back in the fold. Alabama is after him so he must be good.
