If you really believe Cain's film doesn't look good then there's no help for you. Cain isn't going up against the future frat bros of Alabama and Auburn. He goes up against far better players in practice every day, not to mention the far superior teams he faces. Just because Spivey is in 7A or whatever classification, doesn't mean the talent he faces is great, just means those schools have a larger pool to pick from. If that pool is all frat bros, well, there ya go.

Everyone already knows Cain is a damn good runner, he's had highlight tapes that have made the rounds on here since he was in like the 8th grade that has the patience of Le'Veon Bell, something very few backs possess. Then his highlight shows he's a damn good pass blocker with blitz pickup. Funny how people think running fast is the only thing a RB needs to do. I'll err on the side of the 26 offers from Power 5 schools compared to 4 because I think coaches know a little more as well than your common message board poster.

It's funny how desperate you are and trying to make yourself internet tough that you're making a "ban bet" on a message board. Even if you lost, you'd just go create an alter so what's the point? I'll stick to my guns, you stick to yours.

I've never said I wish Spivey has an awful career. I wouldn't wish that upon a kid. I hope he does have success except if/when he plays us.

Also, I breathe through my nose just fine, so sorry to ruin that for you as well

Plan A1 Emery
Plan A2 Cain
Plan B Spivey

Pretty simple.

A kid is 17? Get over yourself. If he gets offended over a message board I pray he does not come here. The kid just isn’t a talent who will be useful at a major power 5 program. Sorry.

Cain will play better competition this year so it’s not really a comparison. Cain is the better football player. Loser mentality to settle for kids like this.

The recruiting model has shifted because of the early signing period. LSU has identified guys that meet their standards and that THEY ( not people watching HUDL ) believe can ball out at LSU. Those players get scholarship offers. The guys who get in first , get in first . Cain can commit today if he wants a spot. Because the Goodrich/ Surtain episode is the roadmap for how the Slowplay approach works. If you get too fancy you end up holding your dick with neither player signed, wondering what just happened.

LSU is going to get a class committed and signed as early as possible. Particularly when they already have an elite player at RB signed. And if they have two or three spots left after early signing period, they will use those to address need/depth and chase 5 stars .

I don't know about Cain being overrated, he looks good. He may even be better than Spivey right now but Spivey has the potential to be better than Cain. As of right now Spivey seems to be the bigger playmaker with a better chance of taking it to the house on every play. It's hard to compare the two.

LSU has had great RB's the last few years, that is not debatable, but what has the team won? Maybe steady, not great running backs and a good passing game will produce better results.

Based on what? Your opinion?

What was your opinion on DJ Chark, Russell Gage and Foster Moreau? I guess you thought they would not have been useful at a major P5 program either.

Sorry, I'll take the opinion of the LSU, Arkansas, Missouri, Purdue and other teams coaches whose livelihood depend on it over yours every day of the week.

Those are some elite programs the offer was probably to lure Parish anyways. And that’s only 3 guys. Moreau isn’t even in the NFL yet and has been an average starter at best.

You are really reaching in order to make an a-hole out of yourself aren't you?

First you say:
"The kid just isn’t a talent who will be useful at a major power 5 program"

Now you are saying one of three guys I listed is not currently playing in the NFL.

Are you confused? Which is it? No use at a P5 program or making millions of dollars playing in the NFL?

The above is a rhetorical question. Having seen a couple of your posts I really don't want or care to know what you think.

I for one can tell you exactly why we didn't win championships w/ Fournette & Guice . You need to look no further than the guy on the sidelines w/blades of grass hanging out his mouth.

Ill gladly ban myself if Spivey doesnt have a better career including NFL than Cain. Care to make the wager, or just want to keep talking out of your arse?

Keep talking out of your arse,

you're not only willing to bet a guy has a better college career but professional as well based on an extremely small sample size of film spliced together to make him look good? Yet geaux is talking out of his arse? That is rich

No you're doing it wrong bc this wouldn't explain how he got 14 ypc. You can't make that up, it's a stat that is very good. So basically that average means on every carry he produces 14 yards. So even if that's cut down to half in college, with a better OL, he would be plenty good enough as is without development.

You add a S&C program to his game so that he now breaks tackles when running, add a spin move, stiff arm and this kid is now a 5* back with the OL LSU has coming. Then add to the fact that Parrish already has chemistry with the guy and you may have a real dynamic backfield and change of pace back with him and Davis.

I guess some people just can't see very far in front of them when their minds are completely closed, due to the fact that they "know" that this staff as a whole is incompetent. When your mind is already made up, your not going to see much coming.

Spivey sounds amazing....so why is he just now getting the offer? It would seem our staff prioritized other backs before him.

I'm not saying spivey sucks, I have no idea. It would seem this is like the chick at the bar who became much more attractive after you struck out on her hotter friends.
