Amite head coach interviewed on 104.5 this morning

- Devonta Lee spent the weekend talking with Ensminger, Brady, Joseph, and they’ve told him he can play offense. They ran over the new RPO game with him and the concepts are similar to some of what has been done at Amite
- Sopsher had a great visit and the staff took care of him, his family, and Devonta Lee, but that’s really all he would say about him.
- Could be coachspeak, but he said that O and staff have done a great job recruiting to an even higher level than Miles did.
- of course he said that there’s no Alabama connection or steering and pointed out they’ve only sent one recruit to Bama.
- said that they will sit down with the players over the next day and make a pros and cons list for each school.

Thanks for the info but these types of interviews never give any real new insight. They are almost pointless.
For instance when the coach was apparently asked about Bama meddling in Amite he denied it. I mean what else would he do? It's pointless.

Not sure if that’s their responsibility

Not sure if you’ve been paying attention, but a lot of the concepts that are making their way, even up to the NFL level, started out in high school.

Yeah, Powell's first year at Amite was 2016. Miles was fired in Sept. of 2016. He's just blowing smoke because he doesn't really know.

When Powell was at jewel sumner he had two players go to LSU.

Is this perception based on nothing then? Or is it because of kids from Kentwood or other schools within the same parish going to Bama?

Maybe he just wants to be involved and help his 16 and 17 year old kids get all the information available to them before they make the biggest decision of their lives? Go figure.

Amite's concepts can be found on a playground. There is no concept for having athletes that are twice as good as the team on the other side of the ball
