Exactly. I have no problem being mad and dissapointed but the original post was inspird by the people wishing the kid death yesterday.

Stout,
It's all good. Shake the haters.
Some folk did take this stuff a little too personal the past few days.

It makes LSU look like jackasses. Sorry if you fail to see that.
Yeah I would hate for LSU to get a reputation of having a crazy, rowdy fanbase as opposed to the calm, reasonable bunch we're portrayed as now.

Do you not truly not see? Also, the whole deceiving LSU is speculation on your part. You or I have no idea what TRULY went down.
No, neither of us do, but this isn't a criminal case in a court of law where I have to be sure beyond a reasonable doubt. The facts are this:
Kiffen has admitted to telling Nu'Keese Richardson to not tell Florida about his commitment to Tennessee.
Janzen has said he knew he was going to Tennessee since he visited there.
Am I completely out of line to think the same thing might have gone on with Janzen? Has Janzen come out defending himself saying anything to the contrary? If it were me and I really cared what people on message boards and the such thought about me, I'd be trying to repair my reputation.
Gotta run to a meeting but I'll check back later.

Yeah, I think the two of you actually are closer to an agreement in this situation, but as it goes, the two different sides are argued to extremes at first. After clarification, sane minds tend to travel towards the middle. It just doesn't help when Investor7s jump into the fray and muddy the water. It generally keeps pushing the argument towards it's polar ends.

And you will be so long you find yourself in deep solidarity with the Miles Maniacs, those precious fans who are the undisputed champions in the fight for Fightin' Tiger football dominance.

Guys --- Alittle help here, please.
Did Benton confirm to Auburn well before NSD? Was this confirmed by coaches? Family?
If so, why is Coach Brad pissed off?

That's the story coming out of Auburn. It has not, to my knowlege, been confirmed by DB or his family at this time. LSU haters say its just PR by Auburn to avoid the appearance that they are getting LSU's reject. Those more inclined to trust in Miles' decency and integrity tend to believe that word got to Miles that Benton wanted to go to Auburn, and might pull a Jantzen Jackson on LSU anyway, so Miles pulled the scholarship offer away Tuesday night and basically told DB to take the Auburn offer. That this helped solidify Rueben Randle coming to LSU certainly didn't hurt and may have made Miles' decision a lot easier. As for Coach Bradshaw being pissed, only he can say. I've heard that he was pissed at Benton for visiting Auburn 3 weeks ago after LSU has stood by him for the past 2 years and all of Bradshaw's work to help him over that same time. So maybe he's just pissed at everything about it right now.

Thanks. I also saw OBDAN's post which I believe Dmitch refered to as being based in reality. DMITCH has not given us any reason not to believe him, so I choose to.

Quite right. I have been reading dmitch's posts, and various responses to them, on and off today and it seems that both Les Miles and Emmett Randle may have been taking a lot more heat over this Benton scholarship withdrawl than might be fair under the circumstances. We'll probably never know the full truth because I don't see Les Miles coming out and in any way trashing Benton or any other recruit, even Jackson. It's never good for a coach who has to recruit players in the future to develop a rep for trashing the ones he doesn't get, no matter why. In any event, I just don't believe Miles would have pulled a scholarship away from a legitimately committed recruit except for very good reason, and certainly not just to appease another more-prized recruit, even Rueben Randle. I may be wrong on this, but I and most real LSU fans will continue to give Miles the benefit of the doubt on this one.
