If it weren't for the portal, I doubt near as many would have left in the first place. But a coaching change and a free transfer option makes for a mass exodus. A lesser coach wouldn't have done as well to utilize the portal in filling some of those holes it created, though.

Not trying to be a douche, just realistic. One guy could be an All conference RB and is already one of the best defensive players in lsu history.
Weeks could play an Hback type role on offense. That’s just a little different level of athlete. Can track balls & think his agility plays better on offense than defense. I think he will have issues but will need to watch his tape again. I thought maybe edge player would be another option. He’s better attacking and running down in tight spaces than open field

I agree with you, but just food for thought - if the portal wasn’t available, how many players that transferred would still be here? We lost a shite ton since aranda left.

Don’t care. It’s incredibly vindicating to read this stuff about Weeks after reading on here that “his film doesn’t pop” or seeing his 100 time mocked and being called a “room filler”. All this by supposed LSU fans.
The only reason Weeks wasn’t rated higher to begin with is that he’s obviously a kid who has come on a little later in his high school career versus a guy who truth be told probably peaked in the 11th grade. Looks like the recruiting experts are jumping on the Weeks train!
