Good pick-up. Blue is a great athlete that could play several positions at LSU.

Alfred Blue looks great. I saw him play against Destrehan on TV. They gave him the ball about 10 times on the first drive. They ran him and threw to him. Destrehan could not stop him. He is going against 5A talent. You have to remember that Richard Murphy, Charles Scott, And Steven Ridley were recruited from levels below 5A.
They had not been tested against the higher classifications. I think Alfred Blue will be great. We need to get kids that Bleed Purple and Gold. LS is not from LA. He could care less about LSU. When Saban turned around the LSU program he did it with a core of great Louisiana players. Eight of Old Miss starters at the beginning of the year were from LA. The kick returner for Tulsa that destroyed the Tulane team in the superdome was from New Orleans.
We cannot afford to lose the great LA players and the potentially great LA players. We need to get the majority of them. I think that Alfred Blue is a great addition to our class as well as Franl Wilson who is a great LA recruiter.

I live all the way up here in VA and obviously I never get to see any of our recruits play.

What's Alfred Blue like? In terms of style, what does he offer? I read earlier in the season on here that he was a candidate for LA Mr. Football, and I know that he was tearing it up. I'm excited to have him commit, but I don't know too much about him. Any comparisons, scouting reports, anything like that? I won't be able to watch anybody local until I get to LSU next year.

Awesome. Exactly what I hope about any player. Now I'm even more excited to see him in the P&G!

see where it says, "While Blue was sure LSU was where he wanted to go, the fact that Frank Wilson was named the running backs coach this weekend cleared up any doubt."

Blue is definitely a major div 1 caliber recruit based on his size, speed, and other measurables. Plus it is very important to keep the River Parish pipeline strong to LSU (Lots of stud aths come from this area of the state).

I think the only question is what position he will ultimately end up playing @ LSU.

I personally think he will move to LB assuming we get both Hill and Hilliard. Blue is 6'1-6'2 with a good frame to add some weight and is a great athlete.

I hope he's related to Narvelle Blue. That was almost as fast as the Grey Ghost.
