You’re 1000% wrong. Manning was never going to be swayed by recruiting his teammate . Kid is from the most famous football family in history and you think our staff was dumb enough to think AJ Johnson was going to give us an inside track?
I should have worded my post better. Newman (and the Mannings) recruited Johnson to play at Newman so that Arch would have someone to throw the ball to in high school. Nothing to do with recruiting for the college ranks.

Sucks and sucks Shazz is entertaining Bama. Leaves us with 2 receivers fishing for Stewart who seems like a long shot.
You’re the worst.

I’d love to have a football signed by the Manning clan if he still has anything left. I know that was wrong, my bad

The Arch ship has sailed, well before AJ got on the boat

We're talking about how letting AJ live with them helps the Mannings, not how letting AJ commit to LSU helps LSU in recruiting Arch. I'm not following the logic of this. How does AJ living with Arch help Arch and the Mannings. The person I was responding to said that the Mannings were only letting AJ live with them for some sort of self-serving reason, and I'm curious how they benefit from the situation
Because Newman doesn't usually produce 6'4 black 4 star wide receivers naturally.
Alot of people are missing the point of these posts. Newman recruited this kid to help Arch and Newman win in high school.
No one is suggesting this had anything to do with college recruiting.
Also Johnson just "decommitted"

AJ Johnson exploring options after LSU decommitment
quote:
"I am opening things back up," Johnson told the Geaux247 staff. "It’s still an opportunity for LSU, (I am) just opening things back up. I’m also moving to West Palm Beach. So I will be playing my senior year at another school."

And still NO ONE knows exactly why he was kicked out of Newman and his scholarship was pulled. Typical Rant.

Why don't you tell us instead of calling out everyone else.

Right Chalk we need to get him regardless of AJ and the other commits, he is ranked anywhere from #7 to 11, and we know WRs from La are underrated, ie..Chase,JJ

And Iota , Will C and he are friends— they talk often, he’s just is hesitant on the 2000mile difference

Please to the people who know what happened, this is NOT a story that needs to be anywhere on internet. I think we should salute Manning family for not pressing charges. Enough Said. I will not post again on this thread. Thanks guys::Stay CLASSY.

it's not illegal if his residence was already in their zone. Even if he was technically living out of district, he sat out his sophomore year due to transfer rules.
Willie Allen was living with a Curtis coach, not the family of a classmate.
