It is nice that some posters are feeling legitimized by the Advocate almost mentioning Tigerdroppings...Houston's finest LSU site.

First time I've ever agreed with you I think.

But if you don't think that some Bama fans disguised as LSU fans don't come on here to flame and start shite, you are delusional. (not you Cadello). And I think you'll find that we agree on more than you think.

But it's different when we discuss it as fans, than when some Bamatard comes on here just to flame and start shite. And I think it influences the recruits that are potentially looking at us, and it definitely fuels and fans the flames of the negative media that are out there (as can be witnessed by Guilbleaux's column almost on a daily basis).
so you'd rather just sit here all day and suck LSU off?

1. Admins on TD.com see all posts, all the time, and therefore make an active choice to allow flames, insults, and inappropriate remarks remain on the site.
2. Admins should "shut down the borders" of the site to prohibit fans from other schools posting here.
3. Should other fans be allowed to post here, they should only do so while wearing P&G glasses. Any criticism of LSU and its fans is strictly forbidden.
4. TD.com should be like all the other schools' circle-jerk message boards, where Tiger fans can fellate each other whilst ridiculing other schools/fans/players/coaches without fear of being revealed as the homers they are.
That is all.

If you have a beef with the way the site is adminned, take it up with Chicken. The fact of the matter is that the past two days have brought upon the site the scourge of grown men (and presumably women) who think it is appropriate to curse, damn, wish ill for, and otherwise excoriate an 18-year-old football player for his choice of college.
You can say anything you want about Kiffin, Orgeron, et al., or about the process, but some of the crap on here about Jackson and his family is outrageous. And that has been our focus.
And for your information, we routinely ban flamers from other schools, and we hold resident fans to the same standards (including those who change their icon and flame as a visiting fan).
Again, if you have any constructive comments or suggestions, you know where to send them.
I agree 100%
I think we do have to give some of the LSU fan's somewhat of a pass.. They were duped! The passion for LSU football is reaching new height's each year, the Internet doesn't exactly slow that down.
Not excusing bad posts, but I am confident that about 99.9% of the LSU fans that vented garbage would never really wish ill or harm on JJ or his family...on an individual one on one personal basis.. The Internet is just too easy to speak your mind in the moment and not be accountable or have real consequence.. There is no relationship in jeopardy relative to an LSU fan every knowing JJ or his family in the future
It's a cyber world here.. not flesh and personal..even though the family probably has read some of this stuff and are hurt by the backlash
Once people have time to accept it, all will be forgot

JJ will continue to get negative comments from me for the remainder of his football career.

That's the thing, people weren't attacking him for his choice of college. We were attacking him for deliberately stringing LSU along while knowing since he visited Tennessee that he was going there (according to him). That screws our chances with other players.
It's not like he's 14, or 15, he is 18 years old. He's an adult. He's old enough to buy cigarettes, go off to war, and go to jail if he commits a crime. But he's not old enough to have to deal with the badmouthing that comes with purposely screwing over an entire football team and fanbase? Of an SEC school?
Thanks for your opinion, but I respectfully disagree. If he can't deal with the backlash, he should have handled himself better. I deal with consequences all the time and I don't rely on internet message board moderators to protect me from what people might think about me.

It always seems that you have an agenda on here. Don't think I've seen you actually have a conversation with a fan of another team without criticizing him. You also seem to have purple and gold glasses with your post. Which, isn't the worst thing on here to have, but it definitely is visible to those who see your posts.

He will have to deal with consequences, but they will be on the field, in the classroom, and at home. Surely you aren't excusing people wishing physical harm to him?

A guy on a message board saying I hope he blows out his knee? Exactly what harm does that do? Unless there are magicians and warlocks on here (excluding the gaming board) that have the ability to cast an ACL tear spell, I don't really see what it's hurting, other than making whoever said it look bad.
But if that's how that particular person feels then who are you or anyone else to say that's wrong?

For starters, this isn't his profession yet. It may seem that way because some websites have blown up in popularity, but in reality he's an 18 year old student athlete.
The fact that his performance and actions were being so dissected would make most people behave in an upstanding manner, but not this kid. He chose to deliberately screw over a team and a fanbase.
And it's not like people have been scrutizing him for a year. He committed to us a year ago and then has basically been verbally fellated on how awesome he is all over this message board. Oh how I would have hated for that to happen my senior year in high school. The torture it must have been for everybody to constantly be saying how awesome he is. How does an 18 year old ever get through something like that?

Bottom line, it makes the site look bad. It is board policy, and it will stay that way.
