Paris wants to play corner. The staff recruited him as a corner. Why do I keep seeing "safety" on this board

And I'm sure he'll get his shot at CB. But, Most analysts project him as a safety due to size, and at only 16 he'll likely continue to grow. Plus he'd likely see the field quicker at safety IMO.

Im just messing, I knew right when I saw the title you would come in and say pipe dream. That's why I said we have to get him on campus first.
Pipe dream...not so much. I wouldn't put this guy in the "really good shot" list. He continually names LSU as one of his top 3 schools though.

You guys are looking way too far into this recruit generic speak.

Not really a pipe dream discussion, more of a hypothetical discussion.

I'm not looking too much in to it. You assumed I did by quoting the guy?

There is a possibility that he could go to LSU, I'm not throwing it out the window. But I've also learned to take absolutely everything these kids say with a grain of salt.

What they say to coaching staffs and what they say to recruiting websites are two completely different things.

He's never even named an official top 5, what everyone thought was his top 5 a couple weeks ago apparently was just him naming schools that were recruiting him the hardest (important because USCw wasn't in that list)

There is a side note on a 247 premium that actually says "he's publicly named a top 5" and there is one that says he hasn't. .

I agree, I'm not throwing him out the window a a possibility either, but like peppers, I'm not expecting right now us to be a major player, but if he comes to a camp this summer or visits, then I definitely think we have a shot. And like you said, you have to take what they say to the recruiting sites with a grain of salt.

He doesn't even look like a tiger. He looks like he is going to USC

Not you. It's been the general feeling amongst quite a few posters since he was quoted as saying that.

They take that quote and run with it and even get to the point in calling him a "lean."

Jackson named a top-five a few weeks ago and USC wasn't on that list.

We asked Jackson where the Trojans stand now after attending their Junior-Day.

"When I mentioned five schools, I really didn't have a top-five," said Jackson. "I listed the five schools that were contacting me the most. USC is right up there with everyone I like. But I don't have a top five."

Jeez. The point of the thread was to discuss the staffs take on bringing another DB in this class, namely Adoree Jackson.

Not how much salt to take the recruiting sites for ...that's never been discussed.

Side Note - Despite naming a public top five, it is widely speculated UCLA, LSU and USC are the current teams to beat for the elite four-star corner.

Did he actually do that? Who knows.

Did two different beat writers spin it different ways? shite I dunno. Just throwing what we have out.

woah woah... I'm good

Just a legitimate thought and question that gets derailed by pipe dream fella.

ETA: Also, just wanted to start a thread for anybody that hasn't really seen much on this guy to take a look and to hopefully get some insight on talent level.

Then don't add the "dream school" comment as if it's relevant.

Why? Because you want to turn the discussion around because of it? You read the whole OP and you decided to turn the thread the way you wanted to because that comment illustrated an interest from the kid along w/ him constantly naming LSU as one of the schools he's strongly considering?

ETA: You add nothing to the point of the thread.

The most important thing is getting them to visit. Although it didn't work out with Priest Willis it did work out for Bowers. It just depends on the kid.
