I heard, second hand of course, that our track team was not actively helping the football staff recruit him. If I was misinformed, I'm ecstatic - nobody should beat us for a football/track recruit based on the track side - in particular, we have as good a reputation for that type of dual sport athlete as we do for baseball. Our baseball and track programs should be selling points for these kids, particularly for a kid with Olympic aspirations in track and field.

It was mentioned in a Shea Dixon tweet/article posted on 247, but again I don't have access. Read it in some of the comment section. Todd Lane is regarded as one of the best jump coaches in the country and supposedly he went on the Cali trip as far as I could tell.

Anyone remember who B. Harris interviewed at the UA game. He really made a point to interview Fournette, Jamal Adams, Malachi Dupre, Jacory Washington, Adoree Jackson and CRob.

Obviously, CRob would be the outlier, but Brandon had no interest in interviewing Noil, Willis, or Brown which I thought was odd at the time.

How can you be like PP7, TM7, Mo et all without going to LSU?
If you went to tOSU you would be compared to someone else.

Do they even have any of Meyer's coaches there still?

I thought the Robinson interview was more of a "listen to this dude try to form sentences" opportunity.

He and Harris are still good friends, thus why he was included

His recruitment has a Priest Willis feel to it. I hope it turns out different in the end.

Not really..PW was all football, AJ is football and track so that helps us stand out from the rest that are in his final schools.

Personally, I'm thinkin his "shock the world" statement works in UF's favor. It really won't shock anyone who knows how depth charts work in recruiting, but the rest of CFB will be scratching their heads, just like with Willis.

True, I just didn't want to have to go through rehashing all the ups and downs of that recruitment.

Priest Willis - apparently, I have banished the recollection of his recruitment from my memory archives.

just saying. we seem to do well when both the FATHER and mother still are married and the recruit has a MAN in the house to listen to. some of these guys don't want to listen to mom and be seen as momma's boy. also, dads seem to see through a lot of the bs from coaches.
