you guys do realize that this is the guy that says Ford isn't worth a scholarship.

He is also all over Tyler Collins nuts. I've heard the epic battle between Nichols, ULL, NSU, and Grambling for his services will be the feature story in Meat Market II.

I did not. It's getting harder and harder on this board to tell the difference with some of tards we are getting.

Accept my apologies.

I have no doubt Lacy is physically gifted; however, I am getting a bloated/bitter sense of entitlement vibe.....

Come on, most of us played some sport in highschool and had to make grades just so we could go to college. We all know how much time we had to frick around and get into trouble etc. If getting a scholly to a BCS school was in the balance you would just have to devote more time to grades. Is that so hard to understand?
These guys knew what was at stake and obviously didn't take corrective action.

The fact is this:
Saban thinks he can take on a bad kid and change him because believe it or not most players are terrified of Nick Saban.
Les Miles on the other hand is not the same type of coach as Saban and would rather not have to deal with a troubled kid. I think he learned that this past couple years with Perrilloux and Odom etc. Nick likes a project. Les likes strong character. I wish both kids luck and I see nothing wrong with either way of recruiting.

I responded to the bitterness shown by LSU fans toward these kids because they aren't falling all over themselves to attend LSU.

Actually, Sentimore grew up an LSU fan, has former teammates at LSU, and wanted an offer badly that never came. He seems bitter about it.

Lacy never really gave a crap about LSU....I recall he wanted to go to Miami at the beginning of the process.

First off, calm down. Secondly, you don't know anything about these kids' home lives to be making any assumptions about their academic progess. I know that one of them is committed to Bama and the other says they lead, but I'm curious, would you say the same thing to DeAngelo Benton, especially with the profanity?

I'll answer this TideSaint. I do have a problem with Benton not getting the grades. Semester after semester we hear the same crap with him. Is he close? What are his grades? Is he enrolling? Well, the only thing we have gotten from Benton is big case of blue balls. Does LSU hold a spot for him and miss out on other recruits? Who knows, but I bet if he was an out-of-state guy we wouldn't think twice about him. Maybe holding a spot for a guy with his talent coming from a school that has been good to LSU in the past is the right move. But, I still have a problem with guys with so much talent that waste it because they didn't hold up their end in the classroom.

You could go to Angola and a grab a bunch of 5 stars. But does that help LSU? Nope.

Thanks for answering. I figured everyone would just skip over the comment made about Benton, which they did. By the way be prepared for Cadello to make a post along the lines of "GTFO, STFU, etc" because you had something negative to say about a LSU commit.

Benton is a perfect example of why LSU has begun to take the position of "qualify first".

Citing Benton does not invalidate my position on a recruit making the grades before bitching about not getting a party invite.

Who's talking linebackers? All I said was a short linebacker who can run can play in the SEC.

Besides between Barrow, Minter, Mingo and one of the Joneses we are done.

QB, you never played ball in your life and if you did you sucked dick at it. I bet you are 5'7 and think you are big shite now cause you took some steroids and now weight 180lbs.

No, I don't. Aaaaaaand, I'm not going to say that doesn't make a difference. It does. However, one can choose to get one's self out of the projects, a bad home, etc. I HAVE done this. THIS I DO know about. I could've easily sat back and said "oh woe is me" like many other in my situation have done. I chose to make something out of my life. It was a VERY concious decision on my part.

Ummm, prolly not. But I am NOT talking to D. Benton. Actually, given the opportunity, I would like to tell the young man to get his act together and use his god-given abilities. It's such a waste for someone in his shoes not to do so. Listen, I rant and rave about my daughter being lazy to my g/f and family. But to her, I "TRY" to use a more reasonable approach; one that she might listen to. But on here, I'm talking to fellow fans who want to make excuses for EVERYTHING!!!

I'm tired of it and I'm not buying it. THIS is my perogative. YOU, do what you want!

I never really said anything about Minter.
