But even with this easier treatment they can't pass the standards. The concept of not passing the incredibly low standards just seems so foreign to me that I do not understand how anyone who puts in a litle effort could not pass the standards.
Remember J. Powe? His HS teachers would read him the test (because he couldn't read) and he would verbally answer (with I'm sure no help what so ever). All that was to keep him passing so he could play HS football, but when it came time to take the ACT/SAT he couldn't write his name. That was a failure all the way around.

EL said that LSU stop calling him when they thought he wasn't gonna make it. And now there's a chance that he will, they're calling. Some of the other schools stayed in touch during the whole process. I think alot of you guys never played sports.

You do realize that most of this kids have grade trouble NOW because they did so bad as 9th graders, right? That puts them at 14-15 years old when the trouble actually occurred. Give them a break.
Typical Bama mentality. Making excuses for bad character year after year.....

LSU quit calling because they were full at running back with Pratt and Ford. They starting calling again because of the Pratt situation.
Would it have been fair to Lacy to recruit him hard when you had no plans on taking him except for the unlikely but not impossible event of a decommitment?

While Pratt and Ford were committed they still recruited TR. I guess you don't remember that.

GTFO. You are going to a place you have never been.

Bammers are good at making excuses for thug players. They've had lots of practice recently.

TR is a take no matter what your running back situation is, being the top back in the country will do that for you.
Lacy while a good back isn't a take no matter what the board looks like.
Is this clear junior? Do I need a pie chart to break it down for you?

You never played ball and if you did you weren't any good. Listen closely, Lacy considers himself as a no matter what the board looks like back and he should. Got it?

Just because he thinks he is doesn't mean he is!1 He needs to learn this!!! Just b/c you think your opinion is worth more than $.02 it isn't worth that and that is life!!!

So he got butt hurt because LSU didn't want him as much as we did TR or even Ford. If he wants to walk around scorn thats on him. But it's not justified.
If he had taken care of his academics and his off the field behavior he likely would have gotten a full offer at the same time Pratt did. But he didn't on both counts and the bus filled up.

Let Saban continue to build a team with questionable character and grade issues. Those birds will come back to roost.

It's justified. It just like if RR signs with another team beside LSU, we'll be upset.

Just like he did at LSU?

I never said anything about their bitterness towards LSU. I responded to the bitterness shown by LSU fans toward these kids because they aren't falling all over themselves to attend LSU.
falling all over themselves and bashing/scorning LSU are two entirely different things.
I have been reading quotes where they show contempt for not being offered due to academic failings. If they want to play, then work on your grades.....if you are too stoopid, then maybe you shouldn't be a student-athlete. World needs ditch diggers too.

No it isn't the same....RR is Top 5 recruit in the nation and has his stuff in order. Go tell your brother Eddie to quit trying to be a thug. If he wasn't trying to be a thug and was worried more about academics he wouldn't be in this situation!

you guys do realize that this is the guy that says Ford isn't worth a scholarship.

But according to qb11288, Lacy thinks he is really, really good so it's all LSU's fault.
