Which i like the most, everyone can talk about the bigger named guys, but bringing more attention to the lesser known recruits is more important imo

I do too I just think it's funny how he gets these infatuations with certain recruits i.e. Gage. He does bring more attention to the lesser known recruits
couldn't have said it any better. he's got great info, but he has some type of attachments to some recruits and its like every other recruiting article by him states Gage is inching closer and closer to an offer when its like - dude, lets hit our other targets first r

He seems to be realeasing info before 247 gets it lately.
Also, maybe whoever he's getting his info from is saying what he's telling us about Gage.
For instance, we are in a much better position with Jamal Adams right now than we were before and seemed to have improved with Hootie. That would most certainly diminish the need for Gage.

sounds good although finishing no.2 is not much better than finishing no. 8.

finishing second would actually be much better than finishing eighth in this situation. Texas and Florida are two of his top schools, say he commits to UF and we finish second, muschamp gets fired, you don't think lsu would therefore be in a good spot to possibly flip him?
Posted on 11/21/13 at 1:03 pm to Memphis
yes, but it depends on when we finish no. 2. i was looking at finishing no. 2 on NSD. you are looking at finishing no. 2 sometimes in december (commitment date) thus giving us time to flip him.

Gage will be apart of this class. Jimmy is right. It's the reason the kid has not committed to anyone else yet. He just wanted til these other kids turn LSU down. Just waiting it out

Normally, I would say just by numbers that LSU has enough LBers on scholarship, but I have the feeling some of these guys aren't going to be staying...ala Grenier who has already left. Thus, I would love for LSU to sign K Young...so impressive in the St Aug game where he took on Fournette man and man and gave a good account of himself. The guy had like 26 tackles in the game I think.
James Smith in the last chat said basically that LSU had almost no chance of signing him and that was a mutual type decision. I'm not so sure about that, and LSU of course has a MUST signee in C Garrett and a VERY MUCH WANTED guy IMO in K Young (part of that based on talent, part on need of the team)

I think Kenny young is one of those guys you'll want to luck yourself later for not signing

Don't know if this has made its way over to this board but during the chat with James Smith 2 days ago, he said that IHO Adams would not be picking Texas. I know that this is not universally held belief but James Smith was very specific. According to JS, 4 Texas prospects (Paris, Brown, Adams, and B Simmons) got together and decided they would NOT go to Texas. Apparently, something happened with Simmons and Texas that apparently ticked them all off. Of course Paris is a teammate of Simmons right, so that one would be obviously personal to him also. Anyway, just in case that hasn't made its way over here...I don't read every post and pretty inside info.

It was the way texas handled Simmons recruitment, it didn't make the guys happy with texas.
