I am very sorry you din't see the other similarities the UGA offense and the LSU offenses of old.

Sometimes we sleep while being fully awake.

Similarities in terms of the scheme. Les never recruited the level of talent that Georgia is currently bringing in.

And it's clear that Georgia's offensive troubles are limited to this year. They haven't had a problem on offense the past two seasons prior to this year.

I agree. Which is why I've been vocal about our QB recruiting.

Clemson adds DJ.
Alabama adds Bryce Young.
Ohio State adds Stroud.

These other schools just regularly reload with 5* QBs and continue right along with their offenses each year. LSU clearly isn't there yet.

I disagree with this. Sure they get 5-Star QBs a lot, every year if you will. But, they also deal with a ton of attrition because of it. As a result of that, we ended up with Ohio State’s better QB option and they ended up with Georgia’s best option. Georgia actually lost two; Fields and Eason. Getting a bunch of 5-Stars at DB or Receiver is one thing because you’ll always have multiple guys at those positions on the field at the same time. QB only has one spot open to fill. There’s got to be more of a happy medium where you balance the ranks with 5-Stars and 4-Stars who are sort of a diamond in the rough. I just don’t see recruiting 5-Star QBs every year as being very conducive to maintaining a stable roster at what is the most important position on the team. Just my two cents though.

Why couldn't we land an elite QB this year?

Because until this year our offense really hasn't done shite. And top qb's develop relationships over time so we were already behind. Hell half the fan base wasn't even sold on our own damn coach in August.

How long was it until Bama started recruiting "top" qbs? How Championships won before they got Tua? And it's really not that "guaranteed" that elite high school qbs equal elite college qbs. Fromm was a 5 star.. Baker Mayfield was a walk on. We can go on for days on how many 3 star qbs have out shined 5 stars.

Point is, let's see how the guys we got develop. There is plenty of upside.

UGA about to hire a new QB coach/Co-OC. Just made room for the hire. There was no way Smart was gonna be satisfied with that offense. So that talking point is about to be gone.

Yes, by the arm of a baby jesus miracle transfer. Not from a QB that we recruited out of high school.

Tell me, when is the last time a QB started a game for LSU that LSU recruited and signed out of high school?

So, are we hoping for another miracle, or should we better recruit elite QB's out of high school? Gosh, can you imagine a 3rd year with Burrow and what that would do for our program?

We don’t know how Day is at developing players just yet. Looking at the mental mistakes his players made during the Clemson game, I have a feeling he’s going to lose that locker room within 3 years..

Here are your NFL QBs and rankings.. not many 5 star elite in that list. The problem is the QB position is the hardest to determine if it will be successful. Some are late bloomers, some just don't have "it", and some just are thrown into bad situations.

Brennan was the #6 Pro-Style Qb who ran a RPO offense and there are people on this board wanting us to get another transfer this summer.. like D'Erq King who was a #18 athlete.

I think coaches take guys with the right skills and make them successful just like Burrow. I think our offense is in good shape and our QB room is solid. Could it get better? Probably but it's filled with 4 stars and I am pretty sure one or two will be good.

Eventually you recruit so many 5 stars that it doesn't matter.

Especially with the transfer portal. You’ll see more and more talent being spread out because of it.

I just think dismissing losing great recruits to UGA is not a wise idea.

I’m not dismissing UGA, but their momentum is completely unsustainable without titles. Clemson and Bama are the only other programs recruiting at this level consistently, with us OSU and others right behind and fluctuating a bit more

If Kirby doesn’t win a title in the next 4 years, he will start losing steam. I haven’t seen enough from him yet to convince me that he wins one in that timeframe.

They are running the same scheme they did in previous years. They literally sent a fricking Heisman finalist QB who wrecked shop until he got hurt packing because they couldn’t figure out what to do with him. He will NEVER win a title running this scheme. Mark it down.

We’ll see. Are you going to run the spread with Fromm after running off a far better and more athletic QB in Fields? I’m looking forward to seeing him fall all over himself next year while your more talented guys ride the pine. Again.

The Bama QB looks like he will get killed in the SEC. DJ looks legit as hell. Grown arse man with a big arm and can move. He's passes wobble a bit but I'm sure they can teach him to get his spin rate up a bit. He easily was the best looking QB to me.

If UGA can't win a title in the next 3 years with the talent they've signed, they really need to consider packing up and quitting football

Fromm is gone is after next season so it doesn't really matter. Plus a good coach buold a scheme around his player's strengths. You get no disagreement from me that they royally fricked up with Fields. It is what is is. Hopefully he learned a painful lesson.

Also why LSU hate UGA so much? We rarely play you all so so I don't understand the animosity. I cheer for LSU over Bama and Auburn, but you guys seem to hate us. It's weird.

A strong UGA hurts Auburn, Bama and Florida. Three teams you play annually...

Because your ridiculously arrogant fanbase thinks you guys are Bama, regardless of the extreme absence of titles. We aren’t a perfect fanbase either, but we definitely have a lot more self awareness than that.

For example, there are fans who actually believe you guys are going to hire Brady away from LSU after beating UGA soundly, putting on an offensive show in the playoffs and playing for a title. That is pretty laughable. I have also come to expect it from UGA fans based on my experiences on the SEC Rant.
