7 TX Commits in the Last 3 Years

I think the idea that Texas and OU joining the SEC is going to seriously impact our recruiting might be over blown. We get way more out of Georgia than we do Texas. Even if we lost half of the Texas recruits to UT, that averages about 1 a year. A&M‘s class is about 85% Texas kids, so I get where their anxiety comes from.

I don't see it as a big deal. There's a plethora of talent from Texas. Same could be said as to SEC states. LSU recruits nationally. You cannot be sacred to go up against anybody.

So much talent in TX even OU A&M and TX can't take them all
It comes to identifying the right ones more than worrying about numbers
Similar to LA - LSU can't take them all but you hope your evaluations are correct

If we have success against them it will greatly help us in those territories

This year and next, I feel we will take a minimum of absolutely no less than 16, possibly more of deserving Louisiannimals, leaving approximately 6-7 out of state recruits. Our National footprint in the U.S gives us the opportunity to cherry pick these athletes wherever they may be.we will not sign more than 23 recruits. This number hopefully will change to 25 only if the grey/blue shirts come to fruition. Regardless 2 if not 3 open spots will be left open for the ever increasing valuable plug and play kids from the transfer portal .

I believe if we lock down Louisiana we will be fine. Biggest issues will still be finding OLineman which not many of our OLine come from Texas. And second will be when Louisiana has a down year for recruits. I think we will still be able to pick good recruits From Texas when we need to.
If you look a few of the high caliber Texas recruits have come from Nola because of Katrina. Other states aswell. I think that is also part of the plethora of instate talent again. We haven’t had a mass exodus of residents like Katrina.

Beat em on the field again and we will win over recruits, not all, but I don't think this will hurt Lsu much, I mean shite, we lose La. kids every year, and we end up being just fine, we are LSU baby!!

If anything playing more games in texas will help us in texas. We just have to keeo LA closed to them.

Frankly, it should be more.
If we hadn't missed on several OL and DL over the years it would be probably 75% higher.
I'm frankly confused how this affects recruiting at all, good or bad. I mean aren't we already recruiting against the same schools for the same players anyway? What really changes- same pitches, same facilities, same visit lists, same recruits.

and if we continue to beat ut and faggie we will get more out of Tx.

The schools and conferences more adversely impacted will be places like Oregon, USC, Stanford, UCLA, the Arizona Schools, Oklahoma State and non-SEC Florida Schools who have occasionally lured quality talent out of the State of Texas. Texas Schools adversely impacted will be TCU, Baylor and SMU.

This has no affect on OSU, Clemson, Alabama, LSU or Georgia or any other perennial top 10 program in recruiting. They're all competing for the same recruits anyways. I can see it being a zero sum game for A&M and Texas however.

I also think this might strengthen the State Pride mojo for a lot of kids. Like Little badass Louisiana that knocks out bigger Texas schools twice a year. Louisianimal and all that.

I think it’s going to help us. Texas and Oklahoma are going to be mid tier teams. I think Oklahoma actually takes a hit in recruiting

Good grief, if you read the SEC Rant, both Texas and OU will be top 3-5 every year

Chasen Hines, Ed Ingram , and Austin Deculus all say hi . Three returning starters from Texas

One thing everyone must remember is, we need Oline. Louisiana doesn’t produce enough quality OLine to field a team. That is done through out of state recruiting. Facts.

You say that like you are saying something every single person here doesn't know.
