A player can change on a dime, literally. Most crystal balls are those that have extensive research and insider sources that come along with them. I get the sour grapes on Ricks, however, the majority of those whom are “Fong’d”, end up at said destination. Who could’ve known Bowen would decommit from Notre Dame to commit to Oregon and follow up with an Oklahoma shock? It’s rare but it happens, however just because it does (rarely), doesn’t mean the crystal balls hold no merit….

Texas is going to be in trouble come next season under Sark (just my opinion). Can’t see this one anywhere other than Baton Rouge come 2024, especially with the way he’s always locked in. I imagine him, Williams, Hurley, and Galloway to be the biggest recruiters for others to join the 2024 class. What say you Crown?

His accuracy means nothing if he can just change his pick when it comes time to commit.
He really doesn't do that very much. He's usually not this early on his predictions either.

I actually heard Texas A&M would be our biggest threat last I heard unless things have changed.

The instate schools will open up the bank for this kid and several of his teammates. A pipeline into desoto and duncanville would be incredible for recruiting. They each have 10-12 D1 kids on their roster every year.

Yeah. That situation was with that young man was little different. Leaks started coming out about parents divorce 1 wanted him to go to ND and 1 wanted Oregon. Hate to see it and wish him the best at OU.

Oof that’s rough. If you noticed when he committed to Oregon, his mother seemed sort of distraught. Maybe that’s just me but it’s insane how crazy the recruiting process has become

That whole district is elite..

Shemar Stewart and Colin Simmons are two different people, correct? There will be some that have long term interest in a specific football program, why not LSU? Not sure who the “y’all” are, but sure there are posters whom are more logical and those who freak out. Please realize there is more than one voice on the site.

These recruiting guys are only as good as the information they're given. They're not mind-readers. Recruits know this and use it to their advantage. They've been becoming less reliable, and now with NIL, even the good ones will be a coin flip.

Interesting don’t believe they’ve ever had much luck with D’ville

Feel you brother, though we have to look at it on an individual basis. Rather than grouping recruits of all having the same mindset. Most will have money on the mind of course, as we all do, however some will also have a strong emphasis on academics, development, long term relationships, specific coaches, proximity to home, playtime, legacy, richest deals, etc. Simmons specifically feels strongly about LSU, Fong and others have LSU favored to land him, there is smoke there. Perhaps it’s simply due to his love for LSU and he may commit early, or perhaps he will leverage the best deal possible and hold out.
Point being, while recruiting is as fickle as it’s ever been, LSU is as strategic and focused as they come under Kelly and there will be those that commit early, just look at Hurley, Williams, Galloway, etc, whom are firmly locked in and recruiting others heavily. Who is to say, they can’t land a big fish, as they have normally have. LSU has the leadership, money, reputation, championship level aspirations and then some to have early commitments from highly touted recruits and have them hold. We shall see though.
