Is McKinley the guy Satan already flew in to visit last month?

Nah.

If you completely whiff one year and don't sign a position of need and then the next year there's a 5* at that position in state at LSU- he's s must get. Only option is to sign someone better if you miss but this is absolutely- land him or someone better after you put us in a bind and are filling the position with transfers

Their are so called "must gets" every recruiting cycle. Sometimes we get them, sometimes we don't. Sometimes those must gets turn out to be very average players in hind sight. I hope we get McKinley but I wouldn't call any recruit a must get.

Does anybody have any information on how it is that we recruited so poorly for DTs last year?
Did we sign anybody out of HS?

There weren’t any in state that we thought were good enough and just struck out on the OOS guys. Auburn flipped our only DT commit. That’s why we hit the portal so hard.

I’m in a group chat with the coaching staff. The title is ‘Dominick to ‘Bama.’"

On300 top-15 prospect Dominick McKinley, one of the fastest-rising recruits in the country, will visit Alabama this weekend

Nah. Don't like that.

Yeah. I just assume all our DL are going to Bama at this point. When we get a big win like Jacquellin and Maason, I'm pumped.

Just texted Dominick’s Dad and he said he did know of a trip to Bama this weekend and that straight from his Dad.

Oh I see now. 247 and Rivals aren't trash when they help our perception. Got it.
All we've heard for over a year is how "forward" and superior On3 is regarding rankings but apparently not in '24. Guessing 247 and Rivals are now the "superior" rankings.

It will be hard to see Cain stick around if he can't land us blue chip DT especially one sitting in our back yard.

Everyone is about to be if they weren't before. Time for Cain to earn that pay check!

We have never had problems recruiting DL and suddenly we are coming up empty handed.
I am sure Kelly is on it, but there are red flags waving at this position group and its future.

You definitely do not want to lose this kid.

Has LSU typically had success with kids from Acadiana over the years? If so, that's helpful.

LSU had never lost a kid from Acadia/Lafayette/new Iberia parish in like forever until Kelly joined.

Walter job
TE from west gate
Safety from west gate

Now McKinley up in the air and Johnson committed to CO.

Not blaming Kelly but that part of Louisiana had never been an issue for lsu at all.
