Texas lost out on almost every other big in state recruit they went after. They almost had to pony up the money to get this guy.

I'm not gonna swear my life on it, but if he makes it to a game this season at Tiger Stadium ... I think we can flip him.

I get it, but not only is he a 5 star safety, he’s the best player on the baseball team as soon as he’s on campus. Between baseball and football, LSU should be able to pay whatever it takes.
He’s a huge baseball draft risk right now.

No he isn’t.
Where do you people come up with this stuff?

Link it.
I haven’t seen a MLB mock draft or pro evaluation that has him high as you’re saying. Would love to see where he’s projected that’s higher than first rounders who withdrew from the draft.

He’s not a draft risk in baseball. Never has been

There are publications that already have as many as 500 guys ranked for next years draft. He’s not on their list. That means at this moment, he’s AT BEST a fringe draft prospect.
A football commitment makes one more expensive in the draft, which would only serve to push him further down boards. Fringe talent and a high price tag means the MLB draft is a no factor for him.

That’s not a pro scout. It’s not even a prospect writer. It’s a recruiting reporter.
