Maybe Michigan just assumed he was a lock and started behind the 8 ball after Harbaugh left and LSU offered whatever they offered.

I’m sure they can beat LSU’s offer and then LSU could counter. It seems like the staff is dead set on doing whatever it takes.

I understand he’s accomplished nothing yet, but the kid is a stud and everyone wants him to be their future QB. Whether that plays out remains to be seen. There’s only one Jayden Daniel’s. We will see how Cam ward finishes the year. Good news is the transfer portal makes it a lot less painful to lose high school QBs.

Still have a few months to go so we will see how it shakes out. He will be at the bama game, so maybe he shuts it down or maybe we get our arse kicked and he dips. Who knows

Why? Did you read the part that said Michigan’s offer is on par with LSU’s?

Don’t argue facts. According to the rumor they just now decided to offer the number 1 player in the country for their state money. And sky falling LSU fans think he’s gone and he was coming here to play for free.

Absolutely ridiculous. I wouldn't pay it. Not with the bust rates these kids have.
Question, in hindsight, what would be the ideal NIL number for the season Jayden Daniels had last year? That's about the peak of what Underwood could achieve here individually. Was it worth 5 mil? Remember that's a quarter of the reported roster number for the 25 season. In 1 player that may not play next year. Then you renegotiate so on and so forth. It's even more ridiculous than the reported 2.4 number for Stewart.

With a defense that would definitely be worth it.

Would it matter to you?
Tennessee offered Niko 8 mill over i think it was 4 years (might be 3 who knows), there has been nobody even close to getting 10 mill or 20 mill, and no it's not conceivable that anybody would do it. These guys have to get together to debate on if they will spend 30-50 mill on a buyout of a coach, you think they are going to give a QB a deal worth 10-20 mill? Yes they want them badly like they would want a coach badly. You don't become a fricking retarded moron with money either. You're just playing dumbass hypothetical responses because;

1. Either you're not a LSU fan so you just say outrageous shite to get a response.

2. You are a fan, but you just say shite to get a response

Your entire post history is the OT, a couple MLB posts, and the recruiting board about Michigan offering 5 mill. You're a troll.

5 mil over 3-4 years is not ridiculous at all so I amend my first post. That's less than Nico, less than Dakorien Moore, less than Josh Petty and less than what Stewart will cost. Should've researched further before commenting.
Stand by 5 mil for 1 year is ridiculous for any college football recruit. If it's spread out for Underwood it's a bargain imo.

I just love having a debate with people that love something so much, all practicality and common sense (that they may have or not have had to start with) disappear in their posts.

You love and worship lsu football so much, you think 18 year old kid who has never been told no thinks as highly of lsu as you do.

If I offer you $1 million bonus, higher commissions, give you best leads/prospects possible, and tell you the villages of Florida his now your client and yours only to sell health and life insurance to, you wouldn’t come work for my insurance company?

Dropping f bombs and cursing people
Is ghetto, dctiger1.

Alters lol, you’re so butthurt right now.
Admins, this guy is trolling the recruiting board. He's taken his OT shite here to sow discord.

Yall, stop responding to him. He is not serious.

I think the man just wants to be a tiger at this point.

Sounds like they’re afraid this new HC at UM isn’t the guy and they want to save a couple shitty years and a buyout by offering this type of money to save the program a few years.

UM is likely to lose 3 of their next 4. Many of their recruits will see they don’t want to be there.

Very few stud players uncommitted. What can we do to get people’s attention and following our recruiting service.

a $5 million QB seems like it should be the norm…

yeah, you sound like the politicians who print money

I mean what the frick

5 million dollars for a HS QB?

we've lost our collective minds

I understand it's a business to a point, but paying college student athletes millions is beyond what college is all about. This was never the intent of "we need to help players get some money"

Much more of this, and I am tapping out all together.. many will follow, because it's already stupid expensive to travel to a game, buy tickets and spend spend spend... it's easily 2-3 grand to go to say the Alabama game for the weekend. ho hum right?

I already care less about when LSU loses... it's becoming less and less important to me and I deeply love LSU football. I care but it's fading

My wife and I are paying for our two children to attend college

it's a lot of fricking sacrfice to pull it off so our children won't have debt to start life...

meanwhile, every mega rich alumni, or AD is running around to collect money for the next star player... millions! "Just pay it, if we don't, we can't win "

that's what Jerry Jones does and look where it's getting his franchise

It's professional football... and we already have the NFL...

I want Underwood just like the rest of us, but good lord... just last year the top QB was 1.5- 2 million...

now people are saying 5 million should be the norm?

so in 2 more years, it will move to 7.5? am I right? why would I be wrong?

If a kid comes along that can pretty much guarantee you a national championship…then yes.

I hate it. ESPN turned college football from a regional sport where conference championships were everything…to a national sport where Heismans and National Championships were the only things that matter.

I think the NCAA tried. They were just circumnavigated by courts.

I don’t understand these ‘deals’ at all. How are they negotiated, by what parties, How do both sides ensure they get what they want. What if he never wins the starting job? Coach forced to play him?

The seasons that Manziel and Burrow had have been evaluated to being worth way more than that to their respective universities.
